Wife shuts me down
Anyone elses wife not understand when you want to buy parts for the truck? Seems like everytime I tell her I want a performance part or accesory she says "Your truck is such a POS, you always have to buy something!" Just wondering if Im the only one. Good Luck!

I bet your truck is paid for and she drives a vehicle that needs a monthly payment?? remind her of this, always worked as a guilt trip. Just dont tell her there for bombing. Then theres always the alternative which is you buying a new $40,000 truck, or should I say she buys it for you for Christmas.

Nope, don't get anything like it. Around here it is can you make it bigger and louder? Sometimes I wounder if she is talking about the truck at all.
In all honesty my wife has just enough redneck in her to allow me to do what I want to the truck.

Nothing like that here. When we can afford to, Megs will own a diesel too.
She loves the safety factor, the power and the respect she gets in traffic compared to when shes driving her Nissan. However, have any of you noticed that smaller rigs just gotta pass you? Then, once they get passed they hit the brakes realizing that the big truck they just passed was not going all that slow?

When she sees me looking in a catalogue The only questions I get are "What now"? and "Is it really necessary?"
After explaning why and the benifits, its pretty much a done deal.

Nope. I'm real lucky in that dept. She lets me buy what ever truck I want when ever I want. And my second vehicle is what she drives and she'll drive what ever I want that to be without complaint. She didn't care for the Neon pocket rocket but she likes the Durango. When I get tired of the Hemi, I'll have no resistance picking out a new truck. No mirage is perfect but I'm happy in that area of ours...

Mine thought I was crazy for selling the 02 CTD.....loaded, leather dually 3500. Maybe she was right. When UPS drops off a package she wants to know what it is and what it does and she even helps me !!!! Mostly moral support and if I need her to hold something for me. She doesnt turn the wrenches yet.......

I limit myself mostly. She'll joke with me but still lets me decide. Now that she has a truck though she wants equal enhancements. Hers is getting suspension and mine is getting the power.

Most of the time she does not understand why I need to make it louder, smoke more, or make it faster. But as long as I am not taking money out of the budget that is needed for something else she does not yell............too loudly!! She is driving her dream machine, so it makes it easier to get what I want, cuz mine is all paid for, and hers cost us an arm and a leg, and half a lung!

Luckily my husband doesn't have that problem. I've been wanting to do more stuff to my truck but have to wait until he gets home. I've got my truck wish list, ready to start buying mods for the truck when he gets home.

My wife just shakes her head, rolls her eyes and says whatever. You should have seen the look I got when the stacks showed up. She gets upset when I call every hour to see if any packages have been delivered and I forget to ask how shes feeling, (7 month pregnant).
