Why I love this site so much
Why I love this site so much
The other day I was cruising the C6 Corvette forum and I noticed a post a guy made. He needed some advice on what intake he should buy so he could beat his buddy's CL55 Mercedes Benz. He said his buddy could walk away from him pretty good. Both are stock. Instead of helping him, the people over there criticized him for being beat by a benz and told him that he was a bad driver and the classic argument that the vette cost $30k less than the benz and blah blah blah. One guy even said that he should either take a high performance driving class or sell the vette because he was an embarassment to the vette community. That's when I had to step in a call the guy an ignorant such and such for making such a comment and how there are several things that are faster than a vette and how I was embarrased to even be included in the "elite
" vette club (I know it's my dad's vette but bear with me) as he was. If somebody had asked a simple question like that over here he would have gotten a simple answer. Not barraged for being a bad driver or how he's an embarrassment to the CTD crowd. So I just want to say thanks to all the great members and admins for making this the absolute best forum on the world wide web. I've learned a ton from you guys and I hope to continue to learn as time goes on.

Sounds like you are just trying to eclipse the 6200 post mark!!

I agree that this is by far the best site going. Sometimes we are a bit to conservative here but it's not my site so I can live with it. When I first started coming here there weren't even moderators. I remember asking so many questions and my buddy Ed "Shovelhead" continued to answer them all and I kept thinking to myself "When's he gonna get tired of helping me?" It never happened! He wasn't the only one though. There are lots of knowledgeable guys here and believe it or not I even know a little bit myself..
Anyways, I bought my Quadzilla box here to support the site as well as the EZ for my previous truck. I have donated $$ and I would even pay to be a member here. (But I'm glad I don't have to!!

From all of us who work behind the scenes, thank you. Thank you for both your support on the forum, and your support in keeping the site going. It's good to see this kind of thing because it really does say a lot about our members here.
I'll second everything Dodgezilla & BigBlue said. Except maybe the 'too conservative' part. I think that's part of what makes the site so successful. That and the fact that just about everybody here is willing to help anyone who asks, no matter what other views each may have on other topics.
It's a great site with a lot of great people!

This site rocks, I checked out some of the other sites prior to finding this one. Hey in my opinion this site is second to none. I have recieved more help here than anywhere else and might I add by some extremly knowledgable and very funny people. I have a suggestion though, anyway to get spellcheck on this thing
I'll be the first to admit my spelling sucks

Not yet. My time will come though. I have mentioned how my lifted 4x4 7200+lb diesel gets 20mpg though. They don't like that either.
They also don't like it when I post videos of 4x4 diesels running 12's in the 1/4 mile.
