Me too. Just waitin for the hammer to fall. Oops, locked, or simply edited. Maybe it has survived because of the general mild tone so far.

Also we are on the verge of self editing through the discussion.

Even though this is a mechanical help/tip/discussion site, it goes to other ideas too. Can we teeter between politics and philosophy without getting locked? I think we should as there is a lot more going on around these trucks than wrench sizes and oil capacities.

For instance, there is a lot of discussion about dealership integrity and Diesel repair shop knowhow. Both non mechanical and open to debate. And both very useful.

my favorite Ridgeline commercial is the one where they show it pulling a 3 place slant load horse trailer. It would be over its weight limit with only 1 horse in it let alone a couple more and all the gear

 

I want to just add that even if you think your money is going to go to an American company you should probably read about the beloved Chrysler corporation starting to sell Chinese made vehicles.

I am sorry, but i wouldnt reccomend a ridgeline to ANYBODY, for ANY USE. There are simply better things out there no matter what you are doing in my opinion. Like a tacoma, S-10, ranger, etc. I hate ridgelines. Ill just buy a minivan if i really want one.

I would rather have an el camino than a ridgeline. At least you can get something with a V-8, solid axle rear suspension, and a little bigger bed, and make it fast

Micro-tangent: If I recall the numbers correctly, last year we graduated app. 40,000 engineers. Japan, China and India combined graduated app. 400,000 engineers.

What does that hold for the future of GM, Ford and Dodge? Following WWll we dominated because we lead the world in engineers and science. If the big three run short of local talent will they be able to attract it from overseas or will they be shut out? Also what will the future hold for American innovation?

Not trying to start a new thread. It's a thought!

Reading these posts got me to wondering.
Im sure we have all seen the commercial for Ridgeline where people are packing stuff in the vehicle, its got a atv in the bed and a boat on the back.
The scene ends with the Ridgeline going down a wet FLAT street.
Id like to see it haul that load up a hill.
Another vehicle that makes me wonder"what were they thinking" is that abortion from F)(* called a Sport Truck.
What good is it??

my Dad got one, he wanted to be able to carry a bit of mulch, and carry his stuff to Granny's to cut her grass and weedeat, and for her to be able to ride back with them for supper.

unfortunately, he can't even fit a weed eater in the bed, he has to leave the bed cover open to put in his weed eater.
