3 Days left?

They'll go higher, most (typically) of the real bidding on EBay occurs in the last 24hrs.

I agree. I had 15 people watching my old exhaust manifold and they all emailed me and wanted it. Well, as it turns out they forgot they were watching it and the original bidder bought it for $1 over what I listed it as. So you never know. You might get lucky.

You need to learn the art of "Sniping".

If you're interested in an item, watch it, DON'T bid until the last minute or less of the auction unless you're willing to pay alot more.
Then place a bid equal to the maximum that you'd be willing to pay for that item.
Ebay has automatic escalation up to your maximum bid.
It will raise your bid to beat the highest by ~$1.00.
Bidding early just raises the price as sometimes several folks will get into bidding wars.

I have won several items using this procedure.
One was a new $183 engine sprocket for the G-G that I won for $22.50.
Another was a $200 Tour Pack bracket that I won for $60.
Another was a $600 set of brand new in the box High Performance lifters and blocks that I won for $350.
Shop Smart, Bid Smart

Shovels got it right. There is 600 not so saavy buyers who will throw in bids, then walk away from the computer for 6 days, and never even remember the item. (effectively just running up the bids for the real ending winner)

Last minute (second in some cases) bidding is the way to go. I have sold quite a few things and was left wondering till the last 4 hours if it was even going to meet the reserve.

This item is on the move anyway already, looks like $227 this morning.
