like most guys, i am not really into drugs and doctors.

either cowboy up, or get out of the way.
if you ain't dead, get out the bed, because you got to get it started if you want to get it done.

well, lately, it started hurting more to cowboy up.

In the military, I specialized in "hurry up and wait" and most of that was standing up.
and the more i got promoted, the more i stood beside or behind my operators and supervised them working. and i was standing up.

so the Doc put me on Lyrica, and I have almost become bloated and unattractive.

so I did a quick GOOGLE and found this forum:

I don't know nothing, but wanted to post this, in case you and yours are swolling up on this drug.

dang, i am starving. all i had yesterday was a HUGE bowl of butter pecan ice cream last nite before bed, had 2 bowls soup & slice pecan pie for supper,
and 2 pieces of cube steak for after school snack.
and some leftovers for lunch.
and a pop tart for breakfast (i ate 1, give one away - that's my diet!)

 

no wonder your gettin bloated. your diet sucks! LOL...

 

I took it for a little while due to spinal cord and nerve damage from an explosion that nearly killed me a few years ago. The side effects from it made me confused and paranoid. The doc took me off of it right away, so I wasn't on it long enough to gain weight. Like you, I'm not into doctors or drugs.

 

Nope.

Not going to say ANYTHING!

nah, he usually just uses DEPENDS to get some relief..

i just knew he would comment on that.
i gained ~15lbs more or less.
been fighting it hard.

diet? one slice of pecan pie IS A DIET in south carolina.

I have to agree -cbrahs is right. Lots of times meds interfere with your natural ability to burn calories. That list you put up at first glance is way over 2000cal. If your not very active even 2000 is to much

 

The only thing swelling on me is my feet. I've been on Lyrica since February since my back surgery. It did make me a little loopy at 1st, but I think I'm use to it. Of course my friends say I've been loopy since the 60's. I tried doing without it & the nerve pain wasn't letting me sleep at nite. Dr. says it could take a year or more for those nerves to settle down after surgery & being pinched for so long. (motorcycle wreck in 2002 & surgery in 2009)I guess I maned up for too long. Oh & I'm not giving up my Rocky Road at nite either.
