So, I'm minding my own business this morning pumping fuel into the beast. There is a big straight truck waiting for me to get done so he can fuel up. The Redneck driver gets out and walks up and says "So how many gallons does this old Dodge hold?" I say that it's got a 35 gallon tank in it. Next he says "What kind of gas mileage does it get?" I say that it gets about 20 on the highway. Next he says "That ain't bad but how do you like that Ford engine?" I immediately know this guy is an idiot. I said "It's not a Ford engine!" Next he says "Ford owns Cummins. Don't you know that?" I don't even want to talk to this dingbat anymore but I tell him that it's just a rumor that Ford owns Cummins. He says "You better check into it man. If Ford don't own Cummins why do they have Cummins decals on Rusty Wallace' car. Ford wouldn't let them put them stickers on if they didn't own it!" I tell him that he better check into it himself because if Ford owned Cummins they would be putting these engines into their own trucks. He sees that I don't want to talk to him anymore and says "Hey. I's just messing with you." and gets into his truck.
He may have been messing with me but he really thinks it's true....

Not ALL TEXANS are stupid and sucumb to senceless rumors. I myself do not know if ford owns cummins or not, and frankly i hate to hear that stupid idea. Problem is im a concrete learner, I NEED PHYSICAL PROOF that ford owns cummins to believe it. If that be the case, WHY does ford drop an international engine into its light duties? and offer cummins as an option only? why isnt cummins an option on the F250 or F350? WHy does dodge only offer the cummins? So the guy was a bit slow.. so is anna nicole smith, but we still love her (some of us at least) I agree with Dodgezilla, the guy thinks its true, i dont know what to think, and if you all can look back at my very first posts, when someone put that ford owns cummins in there, Im a skeptic, im sorry, but not all texans are dumb, just like not all rednecks are dumb.. Foxworthy might be a redneck, but he is a smart one who figured out how to use his gift and make money..
