Ok here we go ...real name is Robert but have been called Pistol since I was born. I'm a US Navy Chief currently on some sweet shore duty running an automotive hobby shop at NAF Key West. I was a hard rock miner / heavy equipment operator for 5 years before I joined the navy. Was a machinist for 12 years and then cross rated to Damage Controlman (firefighter / CBR decon specialist) until I retire in 4.5 years. I have 4 kids (one adopted) and am a foster parent again. Married for 16 years to an awesome woman who keeps things in perspective for me.
Lookin to retire on a farm in the woods so I can do what I want, raise my kids the way they should be raised and exercise my second ammendment right to the hilt !!!

If you get down this way ... look me up we'll go fishin.

PISTOL

Hey PW,
Hope you're gonna be in the Key West area around the tail end of June. Our Sub Vet Base here is in the process of bringing the old USS Razorback SS-394 back from Turkey. She was commissioned in 1944 and turned over to the Turks in 1970. They decommissioned her the middle of 2002. We are sailing her home to the Little Rock area and setting her up as a museum. Anyway, our stops are going to be Gibraltar, New London, Norfolk, Charleston, Key West, New Orleans, Memphis, and finally Little Rock. Scrounge up all the diesel fuel you can, 'cause those 11,000 cubic in (180 L) Fairbanks will suck up some fuel. Looking at 100,000 gal for the 6,000 mile trip.
Will keep you posted.

Re:What does every one do for a living?

My name's Mike and I'm not an alcoholic. But I do like Killians Red and I have my own full size soda machine in the basement with ice cold Icehouse at the touch of the button :P(Killians cans are to expensive!). It makes playing pool so much more fun.. I manage a company that sells moving and warehousing equipment nationwide. I actually bought my truck and a 30' enclosed car trailer because I was going to start my own business doing what I do now. Well, my boss, who is a great guy, made me a financial offer which "I couldn't refuse" so I decided to stay for a few more years. I now have what I always wanted, a blue collar job with little stress, at a white collar pay scale. ;D
I used to drag race a 68 Road Runner and a 70 Challenger R/T, both 440 cars with NOS. Both ran mid 10's and it was a great time but I just got tired of it. I've gotten rid of all my cars now and I'm wasting all my money on the truck. I have an empty bay in the garage, though, that I'm thinking about filling with another old MOPAR of some kind.
I've been married for a few years and have a 14 month old angel who is the light of my life. She's got me wrapped around her finger now and I'm afraid of what she's gonna put me through in the future. I'm 37 years old and I have wasted way too much money on cars in my 19 years of driving. :'((It is kinda fun though )

Re:What does every one do for a living?

My name is Ben , and I work for a small town( just under 10,000) in north Texas . I’m the supervisor at the Water treatment plant (wa-wa not ca-ca) Class “A” water license, 6 more years and I’m out of there. The only good thing about working for the city is “the checks don’t bounce. Before I started working at the city I drove a truck. Don’t that make you feel good (old truck driver now treats your drinking water) but I must be doing something right we keep wining awards from the state for the quality of our water. I also have a small farm and a yard maintenance business.

My name is Michelle and I am a computer technication for a local hospital. I love doing arts and crafts, reading, camping, and any other outdoor activity/sports. My fiance TPilaske is always talking about the great people on the DTR site and has me read the threads all the time, so I figure I would read about everyone. We have no kids but who needs them when you have a diesel and a 5er

Michelle
