Is there no proper technical term for that little flake of dried mustard !

Blue- If i slobbered an entire bottle over the kitchen table and let it dry , it would still be dried mustard , but it would not be the piece on the top of my mustard bottle, the location is most of the problem [angry]

Is there a way to prevent this annoying trait of one of my favourite condiments?

I guess there's a musical group named after it.

I usually lick the top of the mustard container after I'm done with it to prevent the mustard thingy.

Lick it off. Geesh

Tell them to run it under the faucet before it gets put up!

Remind me never to eat mustard from any of your houses! Other people use this bottle of mustard, licking is not an option. Running it under the faucet seems too , well , easy?

The actual terminology is " FLEN " defined as the residue left on the top of condiment bottles, and inside of caps, when done using them.

How do you like that.

As for preventative measures. Lick the top of the bottle, wash it under the tap, let the dog clean it up, heck, give it a swirly if that cranks your tractor. Just remember, some other people may not share your sense of what is acceptable cleanliness.

Have a wonderful hotdog
