Does anyone know? Also, is there a gauge available to tell what size An or JIC you have? Any help is appreciated.

 

The difference is in the thread class, or the type of fitment of the threads. The flare is the same angle (37*). They're interchangeable, but they're not. You can mix and match but it's not guaranteed to be a leak free set-up.
