I paid about $1,200.00 plus when it first came out but they can be had for as low as $800.00 if you look around. Still cheaper than the Canon SLR is was $1,600.00 for the body only. When you do get one, it is better to get one from a store where you can have a return policy, usually mail order is a pain. Good luck. Jim.

i think i'm gonna go with this Kodak DX7590 . how do the memory cards work?? is there certain ones for certain cameras?? this crap is all confusing me!!!!

Ive got a sony Cyber-shot DSC-P10, 5.0MP 3x zoom. Screen on back. Camera is just the right size. Ive taken alot of pics with it and they amaze me every time on how clear they are. It also can take a 90min video with sound w/128mb memory stick.
Camera comes with CD for pic up-load on the CPU. All you have to do is plug the USB cable into the camera and the CPU loads em' up. DONE. I like it so far and would recomend to anyone.

I have the Kodak DX 7630...........likely the cheapest 6.1 MP you'll find and takes excellent pics. I bought a Sony before this one and ended up taking it back. If you want some sample pics PM me.
