Wet Down... you're invited

It's my 'Better Late Than Never' wet down... you're invited.

For those of you that don't know what a wet down is... Military tradition says that when you get promoted, you spend the raise on booze for all your friends. The term wet down comes from us hanging our promotion warrant ( a copy, in my case) and everyone splashes a bit of their drink on it... hence the 'wet down'.

From SSgt (E-6) to GySgt (E-7), it's about a $400 raise. So, I have a keg of Bud, a pony keg of Killian's, a 1.75 of Jack, Crown, and Captain, and a liter of Turkey. Also food and regular drinks...

I know that 99.9% of you will be here in spirit, but for the .01% of you that might be able to make it, please let me know, I'll provide directions.

!!!!

LoL! I have my tax records to prove it. In 1976 an E-5 was making $510.30 a month.
Of course we didnt have near the stuff going on as you guys. You deserve every penny.
Wish I was down there, I would drain that keg for ya. Congrats again.

A wetdown is a new one for me. Congratulations on the promotion. Sorry, can't make it up there, but will raise a cup of decent coffee for you.

Nah, I'm brainwashed... no need to make me stay in...

Bobby... I'm planning on taking it slow so I can enjoy it, and take care of the morons that go too fast...

Mark, don't forget your advil before you lay down so you don't feel so bad in the AM and NO TYLENOL when you are drinking! bad juju for your kidneys and I know while Bob really and truthfully means well for you, I can't see you not drinking tonight....it is simply NOT the Marine Corp way try to space out a bit though if you can

You don't want to end up like me with only two brain cells left and both of them locked in Mortal Combat trying to decide which one is taking over
