It's a worknight, but I had enough Chivas Royal last night to make up for it. Congrats on the new rocker and when they schedule you in for the promotion labotome, take a sick day or something instead.

It's my 'Better Late Than Never' wet down... you're invited.
For those of you that don't know what a wet down is... Military tradition says that when you get promoted, you spend the raise on booze for all your friends. The term wet down comes from us hanging our promotion warrant ( a copy, in my case) and everyone splashes a bit of their drink on it... hence the 'wet down'.
From SSgt (E-6) to GySgt (E-7), it's about a $400 raise. So, I have a keg of Bud, a pony keg of Killian's, a 1.75 of Jack, Crown, and Captain, and a liter of Turkey. Also food and regular drinks...
I know that 99.9% of you will be here in spirit, but for the .01% of you that might be able to make it, please let me know, I'll provide directions.
!!!!

Can't join ya in a drink mark, no alcohol allowed on location, How bout a prayer to you and your family for continued health, success, and maybe even a smoothing down of the road ahead. You've taken enough bumps for a hundred families!!!
Congrats my friend, as I said before, the promotion does not come as a surprise to me, I know you earned this one and the many you will surely get in the future.
Be sure to give the lovely a hug and a thanks, and tip a glass in her honor as well.

Fellas,
Thanks for the well wishes. It went great, Angie outdid herself again in the food department. I stayed nice and sober-ish to stop any serious problems before they started... you know Marines. No one seriously injured, everyone got home safe
