Water temp is also in the high 80's, I have a snorkle to breathe through, I have a 12-pack of corona with a loooooong slurpee straw hid in a crab trap right below my left flipper .... Beer might be warm, but you are gonna have to wait a while .

The happening is happening. Never in my 35 years of military service have I witnessed such a Charlie Foxtrot. Too many people with stars trying to see who has the biggest bubba parts. Reminds me of a McNamara - Westmoreland orgy from years past. Sure glad the Navy didn't deploy like this.
The Army deals with a 1800-2000 man divisional brigade.
A National Guard Seperate Brigade has 3800. (simple math = 1/3 of a division).
They have equipment that we don't and visa versa. (M-102 howitzers of which the Air Force has the only parts)
I've got 5 more hours to beer time, maybe.
I needed one at 0600.
Got people deciding they are either gay, lesbian, both, objectors of all types, back problems, ingrown toenails, chapped lips, want to go home to momma, got to stay in school, got kids from 7 different fathers and or mothers. It's something you can write a book about. Or maybe a bit of poetry.
Got to run, people picking up equipment.

Poor Redleg. Just can't stand it. Well, water temp in the pool this afternoon is 81. Gulf is still 80. Air temp about 83. Really bad day. Guess I will have to "weather" it out by the pool. 8) And, you will have to try another sneak attack. I know what that incoming sounds like - - I can beat them snow ***** under the water.
