Wink Water Cooler - September 4 to 10

WHAT?! Second day of the week and 0630 at that and no Water Cooler Thread?!

{Whispers Loudly} Up and at'em! The holiday's wasting.

Eyes defaulted open 0600 so might as well get after it. Enjoy the day off and the chance to sleep in if you've got it.

Just finished cup-o-coffee number one.
Also cleaned plate of fried eggs, scrapple, toast, and now working on cup number 2.
House cleaning on the agenda for today followed by the Beast and the G-G getting long needed baths.

Y'all B safe,

Well, may as well have been at work. Was on the phone to the office no less than 35 times. That old ragged Cummins still ain't running yet. Although I don't remember much of what I told them after about 21:00 hours. Must have been the Ice Houses Boatnik and I were killing whils't we were watching the huge pile of brush disintegrate into a small pile of ashes.

Gotta go put up all the stuff I drug out yesterday evening and forgot to put away last night. Gotta get the old R model ready for a show and parade this weekend. Why do I do all of this stuff?

Sure is peaceful outside this morning. I need to be out on the deck drinking coffee and looking for deer and turkey ... soon.

Finished cleaning up the orchard yesterday. I really like those D.R. Field and Brush mowers .... they do everything the commercial advertises.
Hooked up the truck to several dead trees and gave em a couple yanks. Ended up with a big pile of well seasoned apple wood and a couple new dings in the truck bed and gonna need a new tail light too (or wifey can get me that flatbed I have been eyeballing).

Well ... I'm off in search of coffee. Y'all keep it between the fenceposts.

I think you now owe Shovelhead a new keyboard and a monitor cleaning...

Well it another nice cold (40*F) Idaho morning. The fires are still burning on the mountain. The price of fuel is going up every day ($3.55) and most gas stations around here are running out. But the tourist just keep flowing down the road pass my house. Dragging there big 5'ers with them. Strange world we live in huh?

Holiday? what's that?

Got up the nerve to hop back on the bike today.
First time I've rode it since the "incident" almost 2 weeks ago.

Foot still a little swollen, had to loosen up the laces to get my shoe on.
Fancy footwork to shift gears, but I did it, made it all the way to work.

Diesel at $3.09, I gotta get all the riding I can before the snow flies.
Took 8 bucks to top off the tank, compared to the $70 it took yesterday to top off the truck.

Hi Ho, back to work I go.

Tuesday (feels like Monday) morning.
Yup it's the day after Labor Day, looks like traffic is back to "normal" as all the vacationing commuters are back on the road at the same time.
Watch out for the kiddies as all schools should be back in session also.
From the sounds of the G-G this morning, it appears it's time for a cam-bearing-ectomy. Might be driving the Beast for a coupla days.
I'm getting used to the 5 gallons a week fuel bill.

Coffee's hot, and as usual, Top is tardy with the donuts.

Good Morning All....its almost time to get out of here... working nights has its advantages, but sleep aint one of 'em

Got all the flooring done on the new house and started moving in yesterday,
my knees are black and blue from kneeling on the floor, and yep I had some knee pads...
Got 1500 sqft of hardwood floor laid, and all the trim up. Still got some wallpapering to do, but we gotta be out of the old place by the end of the week and I aint even started on corrals and fencing for the horses yet, so its gonna have to wait till after we get moved in.
Was kinda nice to come back to work last night so I could get some rest.

Phox, glad to hear yer back in the saddle..keep the top side up now..

on IV drip... doesnt seem to be workin yet...

Wink

I'm getting used to the 5 gallons a week fuel bill.
So am I but out here it getting harder to get the fuel. With USFS in town they are sucking up the fuel for all there white and mint green trucks. So until the fire is put out the fuel around here is get hard to get.

But other than that its a nice cold morning here in Idaho 42*F and the sun is still behind the mountain. The tea is nice n' hot!

Well back to the grind of working on computers... Everyone have a good day!

Another day coming to a close ... finished off one barley pop and headed for another (these things taste like water compared to the German stuff).

Dropped off the kids at the bus stop this morning and saw 7 deer on the way back to the house. 5 does, 1 buck and 1 freckle-butt baby. They all just stood less than 50 yards away looking at me. No fear at all. As much as I like eating venison ... I sure like watching them.

Gotta go find a good seat to watch the sunset .... see ya in the AM.
