What a gorgeous morning. Light breeze, cool, sun drifting in and out of some light hazy clouds - - never believe the difference between this morning and yesterday at the same time. Wow. "What a difference a day makes, 24 little hours, ....". Oooppss, wrong key - - too high. There, that's better, down to "E flat".

Picking up tree debris from yard and trimming some palm branches that got mutilated from the winds. Not bad for all that "stuff" that went thru. Now we sent all that gargage up toward the north - - sounds like it will drift out east into the ocean and not bother the NE. Wonder if the fish have come out of hiding - - might have to see tomorrow morning.

Morning everybody!!! It's a beautiful morning here, not a cloud in the sky and somewhat decent temp. Trees are an awesome sight out here right about now, can't wait to head to the mountains again this weekend.

Saw a little bit of the storm coverage last night, man I'm glad I live in Colorado!! My dad and his wife were supposed to go to Cancun on Friday but looks like thats a no go!!!!

Well guess I should attempt to do something................I REALLY DON'T WANT TO!!! Alright ya'll have a good one........and for you still sleeping.....GET UP GET UP GET UP!!!

Ahh, Time lunch! Made some dagwood sammiches. Yum . Nince day in Portland OR, in the 60's, ptl cldy. Tomorrow I go back to AZ. Have a 0700 flight out. Will take the Portland metro light rail to the airport. Take a bout a hour, and cost a sexy senior $0.70. Can't beat that.
Get back and hafta move 5th wheel to new spot.
Need new tire for the Chr t&C seems sumting went thru the sidewall.
Our roadside emergency service don't cover "at home stuff."

Sounds bad. Wifey helps with that.

Little girl is growing up way too fast. 7 months old now and getting bigger by the minute.

I woke up last Sat to find her sitting up in her crib (first time). She could sit a little bit if I positioned her, but not get there by herself.

The next day she's not only sitting up by herself, she's pulling herself up to standing in the crib. Scared the crap out of me, and now her mattress sits much lower and her crib is more like a prison.

This fatherhood thing is wonderful, and I honestly don't know if I would enjoy a son as much, more, or less. I can imagine enjoying ANYTHING more!

I would sell all my earthly posessions just to make her smile. I'm not looking forward to the discipline she'll need. I may have to have the wife do it because I'm afraid I'll be either too soft or won't be able to keep a straight face.

Wife's needed some evenings out with g/fs, and I've had some Daddy/Daughter evenings lately. I secretly enjoy taking care of her (but her poopy diapers are a test for sure!)

For the first time I can begin to appreciate how terrible a loss is felt by those who have seen their child pass before they did. Just the idea makes me shudder in fear. My condolences if you have suffered such a loss.

I also appreciate my wife even more than ever before. She's simply the most amazing woman I have ever seen. Having a baby has only demonstrated this even more. I can't imagine raising my daughter without her. If you saw how skilled she is with organizing things, crafts, cooking, decorating, and just making life better-- you'd want to marry her, too

I have a lot to be thankful for, and I thank God for every day that I get to see them. Every breath close to them is something I'm blessed with.

Thanks, God.

That sounds like a typical Idaho town, when you say "the bar" you mean just that, the only bar in town.

Happy early birthday.

Happy Birthday Mike !!! Look at it this way ... you're not getting older, you're getting slower !! I hope you like the cake we faxed ya and have an enjoyable stagger home from the bar.

PT wore me out this morning ... gonna have to hide for the rest of the day and relax.

The folks in military housing in Key West didn't fair too well with Wilma. The highest elevation on that particular key is about 3 feet ... they had an 8 foot storm surge. My buddies all had water up to the counter tops in their homes. Most have not been back yet to assess their personal loss. Housing, commissary, youth center, child care center all sustained bad flooding.

And wouldn't you know it ... the Key West locals are still considering having Fantasy Fest .

Gotta go,

Good morning all..

Kinda coool here this morning ~37. Looks like another long day. Got to meet the heavy equipment man this afternoon to see if he can tackle a second drive way, the root cellar and a few trees. Time get to work.

PS: Don't get to close to your monitor. I think I've got strep(sp) throat . I'll refrain from visiting the area.

Temps in the 40s outside, and ~58* in the office.
Time to make my annual pilgrimage to the Base HVAC shop and get my electric heater signed out.

Still working on the TO-DO list that got backed up when I took two days off.
Funny that it takes an average of 4 days to complete the tasks that would have been accomplished in two days if I had been here.
Looks like another 10 hour day in a facility that doesn't exist.

Coffee's tastin' MIGHTY good.
Wifey made snausage-n-egg sammiches.....MMMMMmmmmmmmm-tastey.

Y'all B safe,

Morning y'all,
Another day of moving stuff east, west, and lost.
I've even got working room in the cave. Stuff ain't stacked bulkhead to bulkhead and to the lights in the overhead.(thinking of the song "I can see clearly now")
Anyone need any old "stuff"? Got a '70 model Redeye trainer, one owner.
Frost on the truck the last three mornings. Gotta love those heated seats.
Eyes failed open at 0230 AM in the morning the last two mornings. Wife don't like it at all. Wants me to retire so I'll at least sleep in till 0500.
Speaking of retire. The list came down on the early retirement buy out. I can turn in my keys anytime now but gonna have to put a pencil to it since they're offering $25,000 on top of it all. Maybe come back as a contractor or "consultant"
Put a BHAF on the truck the other day. Haven't put enough miles on it to determine any mileage increase. Interesting thing tho, the exhaust "resonance" I had around 1900 rpm's, had almost gone away. Wonder if the intake and exhaust pulses are canceling each other out. Might be a start for another interesting thread
The slaves have arrived so I need to git and break out the whip.
