Partly cloudy and warm down here this Sunday morning. Never believe we are going to get hammered in about 18 hours. That baby is really starting to move. Could hit cat 3 by landfall. Batten down the hatches, man your stations, load your guns.

Have a good one - - see ya when we come up for air.

Had to work in the rain most of the day today, a little white stuff mixed in with it this morning. All better now though.

Good mroning all.

Rob - evidence for your case below

Redleg - Fish are here as well

A shot from the last trip to the river. What you don't see is all of the trash left behind by campers. I guess the mile + hike in with their gear was too much and they left their *STUFF* behind .

Ah well, control what you can and what you can't, don't worry about.

You folks have a wonderful day.

Pack out more than you pack in - JKE

1 hour into the worst of Wilma and we are still afloat. Winds kicking up pretty good but power still on and all trees are still upright - - from what I can see. Hopefully no damage. I will know when I can get outside to inspect. About another three hours and I should be able to get out and take a look. Lots of rain, but no flooding here. Still wet.

ps: where is Redleg?

Mornin’ All

Nippy this morning at 42 deg. The birds are chowin’ down on the feeder trying to get fat so they can keep warm. The weather service has freeze warnings out for Wednesday. Need to get a large propane tank set, as we will be here in NC through the winter. Those 30lbs tanks go quick trying to keep this Texan warm.

Sherod: Sounds like you taught your daughter right. It’s nice when they do something to let you know they were actually listening.

Shovelhead: Best wishes to the daughter.

FiverBob: You and the Mrs. be careful down there, Wilma’s lookin’ for Fred and she is not a happy camper!

Have a good day even if it is Monday!

Hola,
Brrr.. Chilly here this am (39* , hey why are my lights dimming and my voltmeter reading low ), had to find me one of them jacket thingys. Was windy yesterday, tried to go ATV/MC riding with the wife but she would have frozen and/or blown away. She's got no "protective" insulation layer like me and weighs about 100 lbs. soaking wet.

Sherod,
your daughter can borrow my truck anytime.

JKE,
I have officially asked the admins to remove all pics from your posts

Bob,
keep your head above the water (stretch your neck out if ya' have to, good thing Scotty isn't down there with you, he has no neck to stretch).

Ed,
I hope you get to ride Old Blue before the snow flies

Flash,
You're spoilin' us, whats for breakfast today?

DD4X4,
At least its your own pit you are in, did you pick up a funny accent while you were in CT?

Off to find HOT

Morning YA'LL!!! Cold and frosty here in Colorado.............guess it's time for the jackets to come out the closet!!

Weekend was good, spent Saturday and Sunday riding the ol' 4wheeler beating the holy Edit out of myself!! Saturday was the track, and Sunday went to the mountains which was amazing...........perfect weather and turned out to be a beautiful day. Tons of hunters up there lookin to kill something.............saw one guy who tagged him a deer but all the others looked like they hadn't seen much action!

Saturday got up at 6AM and had the girlfriend come over that night, well needless to say I never went to sleep Saturday night so I was up from 6Am Saturday till about 11PM last night............I'm POOPED!!

Well guess I better slug down my mountain dew and get to work.........have a good day everybody!!!

Geez ... it's only Monday and we are already on page 2 ?? I have been in a black hole for the past few days apparently.

Luck has been really crappy lately. Got really bored last night and decided it was time to go for a ride ... nope, left the lights on in the car the night before (hung over) and she was DOA. No big deal ... I'm parked on a hill and it is a standard ... I'll just pop the clutch. NOPE, doesn't work with this european Furd. So, now I am sitting at the BOTTOM of the hill in everyones way with a dead car. Got it pushed out of the way and figured I had worked up a thirst for a beer. Got back to the house and realized that I was locked out.
Managed to communicate enough german to get the spare from my landlord but not good enought to ask for a jump. So I was standing in the cold waiting for the train to take me to work this morning at 0437 (at least I had a back up plan).
Made it to work on time and off to my first meeting of the day on a different base ... forgot my ID at work. Late for the meeting, irritated the Colonel giving the brief and felt real bad.

So .... I think I will just quit while I'm behind and go smother myself with a pillow.

See you guys in the morning,

PW, just be thankful you are not in Key West right now - - 30% of the town is under water. Mallory is under, baby. That will dampen the spirits of some of those weirdies. Well, on second thought, it probably will present new opportunities for weirdness.

Don’t feel bad, a few days after we set up our new 5ver I went out to put the dogs in their pen for their morning duty. The dead bolt on our old one you couldn’t open from the inside when it was locked, not so on our new one. Sure enough, I locked myself out. As I was standing there in my bare feet and PJ’s freezing wondering what am I going to do, our neighbor a active national guard guy came out to go to work. Luckily, his side box key fit our underbelly storage box so I was able to climb up through the laundry shoot into the house. Talk about

Hay, Jon, was wondering where you been. Here, a local guide/fly shop hosts a river clean-up twice a year. Guys volunteer their driftboats for everybody to ride down the Pere Marquette and pick out the garbage. They put on a cookout too.
