Boats

Hi Red - No kayaks allowed on this section of river. I would like to keep it that way. I enjoy kayaking, but there is plenty of river to float without this section.

We had a meeting with the Forest service. A kayaking group wants all of this section to be open to them. The above area would turn into a, well.......not a good thing. This has been proven on other sections of the river. Where I am standing would be covered in boats and wannabe's drowning.

Sorry, got caught up in a rant there. Beautiful place. Somethings should be left alone.

Ya'll have a great afternoon. Off to find some chow. - JKE

Last one Rob. I promise.

Having no neck means my melon does not have the ability to bobble like those bobble head dolls.

Bob did you get the spheres I sent down? Hang onto to one of those and you will be fine. Just kidding. Be safe down there. If I was there I could hold you nice and close.

JKE, thanks for giving me a nudge to get back into what I loved to do here years ago. Where is that exactly?

I was at a camp way up north here and some folks were dumping their garbage on the trails. Lets just say that the group I was with [Triple A Rugby Team] got their thinking aligned and all was cleaned up.

This weekend was a fine one. I was outside walking lots...knee feels great. I also got to feel the first kick from the baby. My wife has been telling me there is lots of activity but this was the first time I felt it. AWESEOME!

Jon, anytime you want to come up and lobby against the canoe traffic....
PM your address to me. I'll send a sample of one of the Classic Salmon Flies I'm learning to tie.

Scotty, when you stand in the river, do the Salmon stack up below your wake to rest from the current?

Mornin' all,

It is still morning here on the left coast. Had more than my ration of coffee, as I am at my daughters house alone, and drank the whole pot. Made breakfast for the son in law and grandaughter. Rosti (swiss hashbrowns), pepperd bacon, scrambled eggs, toast with jam. Fogot to get biskets.
Weather was nice this weekend. Yesterday went to the pumking patch with the 3 yr old g'daughter, lots to do and see.
Saturday nite, son in law and I were going to go to the roller derby here in portland or, but it was SOLD OUT.
Since I came up here, things are happening at Palm Creek in Casa Grande AZ.
The resort has approval to put manufactured modular homes on the bigger sites. We have to move our fiver. Out Dodge is hooked to the cargo trailer ready to go to Houston in Nov. The bed is also full. She will be ticked if she has to unload the bed, and move the 5th wheel before I get back.
Yesterday she had a flat on the Chrysler T&C. Called had had it changed, some how our road side assistance don't cover at home.
These are minor problems. Wife accuses me of know when eartquakes are comming and leaving town. Never was in WA state when one hit.
PW did you get your car started?
Flash, are you able to get in the 5th wheel thru the door now?
Fiferbob, how you doing?
Br going back to AZ on Wed.

Scotty - check your PM's for location...and congratulations on the nugget. Sure is an amazing experience to feel new life nudging around for the first time Oh, I've got more pics if you need more motivation.

Redleg - address will be in PM box shortly. We still have several meetings to attend to try to convence the FS not to open up the river. If they do, they should open it to horse back riding, off-road vehicles, etc etc.....a bad spiral I think. There is enough traffic as it is with fishermen, campers and hikers.

Hope we get some snow this year. I'll pack in there and take some really good pics when all the softies are at home in the heat. Good time to catch the fish too...when your dipping the rod to get the ice out of the eyes.

Getting ready to - JKE

I really should spell check...

HOLY SMOKE!!! Now that would be sight. No one would know my skinny little being was even there. Spheres? Where? I heard something rumbling down the road in the middle of the night during the highest winds. Could it be??????

Redleg, you came out of hiding. I posted a pic for you last week in the cooler, but it was on Saturday - - you probably didn't see it. Here it is again. This is Valdez bay, the salmon are crawling over each others back trying to get into the stream. Now, let's fish, baby. Got my limit in about an hour just down from here.

Morning folks.
Dark, damp, chilly, breezy, ugly, nasty, ........I'm running out of descriptive words for this morning in DC.

From the looks of my E-Mail, it's going to be a busy week as everything that should have been handled while I was gone for the past two days is sitting in my IN box as
"You can take care of this when you get back" tasks.
Four people (who don't talk to each other, even though they sit in the same office)
assigning tasks to ONE technician (Me) equals .

Gulping coffee trying to get a caffeine buzz going.
Y'all B safe,

Howdy everybody,

Flash ... I found my brain ... right where you said it was (keen insight, by the way !!!)
Well, borrowed a car last night to give mine a jump and drove it around for a while to charge it up. Almost charged it up, I should say ... not enough juice to start this morning so I was late for work and had to have a friend drive 25 minutes one way and 50 minutes back due to traffic to come bail me out. Drove it to work and it charged up fine. Gonna get a powerpack today !!! I owe my friend much beer !!!

Fiver .... you didn't blow away did ya ? I haven't been by a tv long enough to keep track of the storm. Hope all is well.

Glad to see everyone is up and at em .... healthy and happy !!!
