Water Cooler November 16-22

Wow!
I can't believe I beat Shortround to this one! Shouldn't someone else be awake? Oh yeah. It's only 2:00 on Sunday morning!
Got myself a bowl of cereal to start the day. It's gonna be a good one, mostly because it's gonna last about 20 hours!
Too early to beat the trashcans...yet. I'll be back around 0500. Sleep tight until then!

Re:Water Cooler November 16-22

Good Afternoon, DTRians. I'll take a refill on the coffee. Last week wasn't a red-letter week for me. Sick at the beginning of the week. Wednesday night we had a huge wind storm, lost some shingles. Also, the school where I teach was closed Thursday and Friday because of no electricity. Usually good news, right? Well, the "flu" that I had at the beginning of the week turned into bronchitis Thursday, and I'm still coughing. I did go to the doc and got some nifty cough syrup with codiene in it. Does help. I guess what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I look forward to this week being better. I hope that everybody has a great week!

Re:Water Cooler November 16-22

Monday ... Hmmmmppphhh >

Spent Sunday morning yanking about 1/2 a mile of wiring out of the Jeep and removed all the Ca. smog equipment (I want it to be bare bones wiring like a desert buggy). I think I have it parred down to the bare minimum to run ... now I am thinking that I need a different distributor. The way I understand it, the thing has a solid state type distributor that relies on the ECU to tell it when to fire ... and the ECU is now missing-in-action ;D. I read that I can use one from an old inline-6 Ford or a HEI from an old chevy as an upgrade.

Hope to get her up and running so I can get her sold !!

Have a great week people !!!

Man, I haven't been in my office for so long, there is some kinda green fungus growing in my fax machine. Been in the "OTHER" building and the other "OTHER" building for a long time now.

Huey, pay no attention to the green stuff on the doughnuts coming out of your fax this morning. The fabulous fructose fungus filter on my fax may let a little slip through. :

Re:Water Cooler November 16-22

Morning all,

Have to wring out the beast this week. Heading back into the woods Saturday morning, sunk her in a huge sippy-hole. Couldn't remember wether to stay left or right in that one, and the rain hade the water level up. Felt like I bumped some roots. The area had been clear cut a few years ago. But it in low to back out, then it started to dig in. I unloaded everything and climbed out onto the flat bed. Got geared up and jumped off the back onto shore and hiked into my blind.
Around noon, my uncle tried to help with his half ton, but it wouldn't budge. I drove his truck and found a guy with a lifted half ton, souped-up 350, and big mud tires. He used it for local mud races. Couldn't budge the truck, with a straight pull. Gave it a couple good jerks with me flooring it in reverse, and it unhooked itself from the stump. Had water into the passenger side floor board, so now I have to check the fluids.
Have some beer to deliver too.

Re:Water Cooler November 16-22

Morning fellas,

Redleg, let that be a lesson to you. Never send a 1/2 ton to do a 3/4 ton job. ;D

Spent my Saturday beating on the shower walls with a 4lb. maul. Scaled some tile off of the other walls. I'm trying to get my bathroom to look like Gonzo's new bathroom. Spent Sunday watching my favorite drivers blow up, get wrecked, or get caught in the pits when the caution flew.

The truck is crying for attention, but I have to resolve my BOMBing plans so I can devote the whole weekend to git-R-done. New front springs, fluids/filters, a coat of wax, and maybe a transmission!

Have a DTR day.......

G'day yourself there Sierra,
Great sunset picture. You inspired me to tag one on here - - this was sunset out the window of the fiver last week down in the keys.
Have a good one,
Bob

Here is a shot of where the fiver was sitting when the previous picture was taken. Not too shabby of a campsite.

Re:Water Cooler November 16-22

Well, I guess one of the "benefits" of working all night is that I get to be the first one to say "Good Morning" DTR! :-

Ive come to learn that in the Information Technology world, there are four food groups:
1) Caffeine
2) Sugar
3) Salt
4) Ketchup.

Hope you all have a great day today....

FiverBob? That looks like a nice campsite, but sure doesnt look like you got that trailer leveled too well. Do you wake up in the morning and find yourself sleeping against the back wall?

Rich.
