Ahhh Tuesday. 8)

That means we survived Monday.

1st "Beltway sniper" suspect found guilty on ALL counts.
1 down, 1 to go. ;D

Forecast is up to 4" of rain in the next 3 days.
Shortround, just wondering if you wouldn't mind turning some of your weather in a different direction for a month or so.

Re:Water Cooler November 16-22

Ed,
We got a good dose of it last night. Rained hard enough to get all the dirt and grime off the truck. Lots of limbs off trees. Looked like we got ~2" over a 6 hour period. Can't help you with the direction it's going in. You should have it there in the next 24-36 hours.
Processing some more folks yesterday and today. Got another batch to do next week. Beginning to run out of people in certain job skills. Got meetings today to plan support on the new equipment fieldings at Ft. Hood. Guess I'll be TDY for three to four weeks between now and mid January.
Got a deer with the truck. One thump, one kill. No sheet metal damage. She came across the road at a high rate of speed and broad sided the left front tire and wheel. Broke her neck. Loaded her up, took her to the house and cleaned her. Only meat damaged was the neck roast. Gonna be some good eating. Both hams, shoulders, and tenderloin would weigh maybe 40 lbs. Good eating ;D

Morning boys, raining cats and dogs. Everybody is starting to pile up. Had to take it easy coming in, so I wasn't able to pick up the donut, but fax is set to recieve.

Bob, good timing with the pictures. It looks like you snapped it just as the snowball caught the window frame.

FiverBob? That looks like a nice campsite, but sure doesnt look like you got that trailer leveled too well. Do you wake up in the morning and find yourself sleeping against the back wall?
Rich.

Kinda looks that way, Rich. The reality is the shot was made from the truck window while crossing the bridge. Check the horizon and you will see the world is a little crooked down there in the keys - - the trailer was level - - water was running up hill. The CFO didn't have the camera quite level - - no fault of the driver of course. :P

Redleg, the sparkle was the filter used on the lens.

Re:Water Cooler November 16-22

Wow what a Monday yesterday was!!!!!! Survived the day complete with 10-12 inches of rain, torrential street flooding and 16 tornados. Guess that was the man upstairs way of urban renewal with a big flush to clear this place out for the beginning of winter... Everyone east of me along the Gulf Coast batten down the hatches cause its a coming!!!!

Time for my morning honey bun and Mountain Dew... Hope all have a great Tuesday.

Re:Water Cooler November 16-22

Lunch time!

The work sure does pile up when you are gone for 2 weeks. I have noticed that you get "volunteered" : for things also. Hate to dissappoint, but they will have to find another mule . I just got through all of the emails this morning! Paper work pile is getting rather high...have to work on that next.

Got a freeze Friday night. Killed all of my pepper plants. Everything else faired OK. Brocc and Caul. are coming in good finally. Cabb. is a little behind. Collards are as big as wash tubs and the spinach turned out great..the kids had all of the radishes eaten and noone picked the green tomatoes :. Now, to find time to get that darned greenhouse done ....

Have a positive day.

John

Re:Water Cooler November 16-22

We got all the nasty moved out toward the right coast. It wasn't too bad here, but we did have some interesting cloud formations for a while .
Beautiful morning outside. Clear skys, a BIT of a breeze, but gonna be in the upper 60's.
More meetings to go to today. :'(

Morning all. Suppose to start drying out today with record highs coming, I think Bob got the hint with that last volley and kicked up the big furnace.

Shortround, I'll trade you a couple idiots, I could go for a change of pace.

Re:Water Cooler November 16-22

Mornin' All,
Another Wednesday - - been out trimming palm trees and bushes - - they don't know it's supposed to be winter coming. Flowers are all blooming like mad. Walked in to catch breakfast to find we are under a tornado watch. ??? WHAT? A couple little rain drops. Caught the TV and there were water spouts off shore headed this way. Oh well, let's have another cup of java on that one.
Have a great day.

Re:Water Cooler November 16-22

Howdy,

Rain has moved off from here. We did not get anything real heavy. Just a steady moderate rain. Looks like it is moving pretty quick. Hope you men in Virginia don't get any tornados....
