The Water Cooler August 07 - 13

Good thing SR locked the trash cans last night............

Almost 0800 and no movement in the galley.....that will be remedied VERY shortly.
Coffee's ready, dog's been out, paper's in, 'puter's on and logged in.
My work here is done.

Heading for Relative's house in Dale City later.
Gotta clean out Wifey's truck this evening so it can go to the detailer tomorrow. (one of her gifts last Christmas)

Up-N-Attem.........

Up at at 'em. Gettin' ready to take momma out for some grub. No matter how bad I am during the week, taking her to Sunday breakfast makes up for it.

Just ate a whole habanero with supper. Lips are still intact and bubba parts ain't affected. Might be the start of a good week.
Got the state and region matches lined out and ready to roll. Looking like ~ 200 shooters for the end of the week. Not being able to work it a lot but I've got a super E-7 that's doing a bang up job on the coordination. Should go smooth. Sure gonna be hot in those guillie suits.
Looking like a trip to Huntsville (Redstone Arsenal) and McKinney in the next couple of weeks. Busy, busy, busy.

Shortround out

Monday AM,...temperature in Washington DC,......74*F
Temp in the office,......90.2*F.

Call from the AC guys on Friday was a Bad News-Worse News joke.

Bad News:
AC parts didn't come in.(they were 'sposed to be here last WED)

Worse News:
Vendor supplying the unit CANCELLED the order without telling the Base AC shop.

Parts now due in tomorrow, their Commander will get a visit this morning.

Two fans from home now trying to drop the temps a couple of degrees.

Gawd I love this place.

Nice and cool here in the office
Too bad I won't be in it for long. One of my power supplies is ready to test, so I get to spend most of the week in the lab. Gets a little warm back there when multiple supplies are being tested.
School started again. People still haven't figured out that when the yellow lights on the sign that says "School Zone 20 MPH" are blinking, that you can't go faster than 20 MPH

Have a good one

Well, I'm back at the pit after five weeks of glorious laying around healing and guess what, it still sucks.

Evening Gents and Ladies (I'll let you figure out which classification best describes you.) Working the late shift tonight trying to get some data converted for a customer. Had this all finished around 7:00 but then found a bug in the data, had to fix that and restart the whole process at 9:45. Should be done soon so that I can do the rest of the system configuration and head for the hotel. With any luck, I'll be in bed by 2:00 and then back here around 8:00. Gotta love it.

Rainy and cooler? in DC.
Office temps only @ 87* this morning.
Hopefully the replacement AC unit will be delivered today as the forecast is for temps back in the mid 90s for the rest of the week.
G-G getting a rest, Beast in the lot.
Beast is thirsty, down to 1/4 tank......might have to rob a liquor store on the way home so I can afford to fill 'er up.

Gotta get it in gear this morning.....need to replace some of my equipment damaged by another shop's Mickey-Mouse work.

Job Security.

GOOD Morning All !!!!
Its shaping up to be another wonderfull day in the heartland, clear skies and balmy temps in the upper 90's with heat indexes hovering around a cozy 102-105...and to think early settlers called this part of the country a desert!
Deisel prices are up again as well, although not as bad as the sides of the country seem to be.
All in all a beautifull morning.....glad that in another hour 1/2 I 'll be sleeping through it!
