All right, stop it! I put my waders in the car this morning to hit the river after work. Now you guys are giving me the urge to play with the saw. I could get there quicker with the Camry, but the rear is still inop on the truck, so I can't haul anything anyway. Now I have to go browse some websights to get in the fishing mood again.
Couph... cough... saaaarge, I'm not feeling so good today.

T-storms in and out all day. Did get into the trees tho. Several hickory and cherry for smoking. Looks like 2-3 (not 2/3) cord in just smoking wood. 18-20" at the butt. Lots of good stuff.
Kind of an update on the unit. Two dead, three wounded. The other KIA was from the Connecticut Guard. One of the WIA, from Oregon Guard (2-162 Inf) lost a leg. The other WIA were airlifted to Germany. They were at the base camp when it came under RPG and small arms fire. From what I got this morning, it appeared they got a real bad sucker punch. Harsh reality has set in and it ain't training anymore. A whole bunch of kids grew up real fast this week.
The brigade is made up of not only Arkansas, but units from Oregon, New Mexico, Connecticut, New York, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and probably a couple of other states. Because they were taking a light infantry brigade and making them motorized added an additional thousand+ to their strength. Totally different mission from what they were initially trained for. Will try and keep y'all posted on what's happening. Just keep talking a bit to Sky Six to have Him keep an eye on them.

Bad news there SR, Hate to hear about the losses, nothing brings the harsh reality of the job down on them quicker though.
You can bet Sky Six has em watching his GPL now.
God Bless our Soldiers and Commander in Chief!
