Hey Bob, maybe everybody understands you too well
But if you really want to eat worms then maybe you should try this: (it is a short extract from a longer article)

Diet of worms can cure bowel disease

19:00 06 April 04

Exclusive from New Scientist Print Edition.

Regular doses of worms really do rid people of inflammatory bowel disease. The first trials of the treatment have been a success, and a drinkable concoction containing thousands of pig whipworm eggs could soon be launched in Europe.

At the moment the concoction cannot be stored for long, so doctors or hospitals would have to prepare fresh batches of the eggs for their patients. But a new German company called BioCure, whose sister company BioMonde sells leeches and maggots for treating wounds, hopes it will soon solve the storage problem.

It plans to launch a product called TSO, short for Trichuris suis ova. Chief executive Detlev Goj says the company will apply for approval by the European Agency for the Evaluation of Medicinal Products as soon as the product is ready.

The pig whipworm was chosen as it does not survive very long in people. Patients would have to take TSO around twice a month. The human whipworm, which infects half a billion people, can occasionally cause problems such as anaemia.

The latest trials, carried out in the US, involved 100 people with ulcerative colitis and 100 with Crohn's disease, both incurable and potentially serious diseases collectively known as inflammatory bowel disease.

Bob - enjoy!

Mornin folks (or should I say afternoon). After sleeping in till 2 in the afternoon, getup and look outside and it's a beautiful sunny day. Temp's in the low 70's I'm guessing. Few clouds. And I've got to go to Chem at 5:30. Oh well. At least it's the weekend.

Just got the word that we lost one of our troops from the brigade. Took a round in the chest while on patrol in Bagdad. He had been in country for less than a month. He was assigned to E Troop, 151 Cav. Don't know any other details.
What makes it worse is that he already had his 20 in and had gotten out. Then got back in to deploy with them.

SR, sorry to hear it, hope they got the bad guy. Sometimes the old timers get too busy lookin out for the young ones and forget to take care of themselves. Have to smack them on the helmet now and then too. Let us know if you get anything further.

Red,
You're right about a lot of the "old timers". You take a new kid that usually has zip for experience and try to force feed him experiences and lessons learned from 20-30 years and you sometimes forget about learning a little more yourself. He was an ex jarhead with 8 years experience, so with that in mind, I hope he was taking care of the troops. So many of these kids left with the thoughts of combat patches and CIB's and therefore wasn't thinking that some of them would be killed or wounded earning them. Hopefully what they learned the past few months will take hold. While the loss of a comrade is never good, by it happening early on, it may just save a good number of their lives. Well I remember the thoughts of immortality I myself had some 30 odd years ago. That changed when we offloaded the body bags and had to sit down and write letters home.
I knew the Cav Troopers would be in the middle of it early on. After all, they are that brigade commanders eyes and ears. That's what they trained for.
That dose of reality they just received may be just the medicine they needed.

Stan,

You are definitely my lifesaver. I am SOOOOO happy you posted that article. You have ruined my whole day just thinking about it.

Come to think about it, they have to be pure protein. No wonder fish and birds love them so much. Fish eats worm - - we eat fish - - therefore, we eat worms. HMMMMMM.

Ed and the rest of the right coast crowd must be still laying around, picking their nose, and scratching their dog.
Get up, get moving, get out of the house. I've got a bunch of firewood to cut. Trees are down, saws are ready, trailers are hooked to truck and tractor. BEER IS ICED DOWN.
I-40 to central Arkansas.
South on I-430 to Col Glenn exit.
West on Col Glenn to Joes Grocery.
Left on Lawson Road. Go to first stop sign (14 mi)
Left at stop sign on to Congo Road.
Go a mile and 3/4, take drive on the right across from the drive on the left that goes to the grain silo.
Piece of cake. See y'all in a couple of hours.
OBTW: stop at Joes or Pricketts and grab another 12 pack. Busch, bottle, regular.

SR, since you got the saw warmed up, drop by my place when you finish up. I got about 35 trees pushed out by the dozer. Big mess, but will help with the pasture. You can keep what you cut.

Need it done and finished, so will send wifey for the beer truck.
