Warning: San Antonio Drivers

Well...right now I need to vent some frustration about the idiots that drive around San Antonio. I drive a 2500 with a full front end replacement, so its scary to see it coming down the road, and yet these little cars cut me off constantly for some reason. I complain about it, but for the most part there isn't really that big of a problem. I always do wonder what is going through their head at the time. ( Hey! I gonna pull out in front of something 10 times my size and slow down!) Today, it went too far. I was driving down a road in town, I had a couple of people in the cab with me because I was driving to a school even. I was in a clear lane and was doing about 40ish. I had just gone through a green light and the cars in the other lane were doing about 20ish. All of the sudden, this honda minivan swerves in to my lane and hits the brakes! There was no reason for this that was obvious to me or my passengers. So basically, I slammed down the brake and clutch, did a 180, and then stopped literally 3 inches from a telephone poll. The jack*** in the van didn't even stop. The lesson in stay out of this city. Common Sense is dead. Rant finished.

You did a 180?

How'd you manage that? I want to know how to do that, but with an automatic I'd think it's a little harder.

id much rather drive in san antonio or houston for that matter then austin. Rule of thumb when you drive in austin, dont slow down for the yellow, chances are youll get rearended by 2 or 3 cars. Theres moron drivers everywhere. Sorry bout yer bad experience in san anto

Got that right... While SA has its fair share of idiots, Austin is just plain nuts.

Theres a good reason to keep a thick, heavy pintle hitch attached. They come in pretty handy.

There are also "drivers" who will pull in front of a heavy vehicle and hit the brakes in an attempt to cause you to hit them from behind.
Their sole aim is to cause a collision that will net them a winning ticket in the Insurance Lottery.

Yeah...I'll definately have to give in that Austin is a lot worse than SA, so is houston for that matter, but I completely refuse to enter Austin city limits unless 100% necessary. On another note, This happened at 4:30 in the afternoon, so headlights wouldn't really have helped I don't think.

Yall ain't joking about austin. I went there the other day to get tires put on and jeez there's some nutty drivers. I grew up in houston so I'm used to driving in traffic but austin was just stupid.

To continue the stately rant of idiot drivers, I love it when you are on the freeway out here ( IN AZ) and it is a 75 MPH and you have the lovely people that want to do 60 in both lanes. People just cant drive. I know what you mean about that San Antonio thing...I went there with my dad a while ago cause he was taking some horses down, and good lord....it was as bad or worse as it is here....I say we take the warning labels off things and let stupidity take its course!

or the liberal use of an air horn. Sometimes that blast of a semi horn will make them "reconsider" their ways.
