Eric, I have that exact stove I use in mt cabin. Yours is in better shape though. I don't have the original handles on the doors. I didn't trust the oven and capped it off, but use the cook top.

HorseHauler....That old stuff is great. I have a lot myself and whenever I pick up a peice I wonder who the person was that used it.

Just think, someday a cordless drill will be an antique.

Are those Lionel train cars on the stove?

HorseHauler....I had a Lionel train when I was 5 years old, that's erh, aah, 44 years ago. It had a locomotive, tanker, box car and caboose, two transformers that look like they should have started a fire, and if I remember correctly they smelled like it too once they warmed up.

My parents kept that set over the years and now I have it in a box somewhere. I guess they're fairly rare.

We should start an antique thread, it would be interesting to see what people have and what that old stuff is worth.

You'd better hope she doesn't. You'll be sleeping in the barn Herb. After buying our current farm a few years ago we began finding lots of old logging and tie hacking tools in the pastures and fence rows as well as horse drawn equipment. We had the same idea as you in that we are going to put everything that will fit onto a wall in our tackroom for display. I also have lots of old tools from my Grandpas farm including hames and doubletree setups. we have a bunch of old dishes on a shelf above the kitchen cabinets that also came from the Grandparents and Great Grandparents. I have a few dishes, bowls and a handmixer jar from our old family plantation in Cooter Missouri from Dad's side of the family that have been handed down for years. I even have my Grandpa's H Farmall that he bought new. but it works to good to hang it on the wall just yet.
