user names (nicknames)
Alot of you have some unusual user names. Some are obvious as to how you came up with them and some are not. How did you come up with yours? Me? I have been building boilers for powerplants for several years and that is what the other construction crafts call us...boiler-rats.

Gun boss on a PG running around in the South China Sea. When providing naval gun fire support, for the grunts on the ground, their biggest fear was a short round (one that hits too close to them).
Just an Indian name given to me when I was a teenager. It means a lot to me but it's hard to use in everyday life, so I keep it 'alive' by using it on the web.
'My dad gave me my name but he let me pick my nose'
chaikwa.

I was welding when the movie Flashdance came out. The guys I was working with started calling me Flashdancer. I took the e out of the spelling because my e-mail provider at the time would only allow 10 characters.
I was banned per my own request for speaking the name Pelosi

Good try Dave.
Mine was our slang term/ call sign in the Army. Historic referance to the artillary during the civil war.
Chaikwa, I thought you were born in the basement and never brought up?

Well you see, Snoopy is awesome. This cannot be argued. And he is at his most awesome while kicking the Red Baron's butt around.
And so, while flying in squadron he needs a call sign. The most cliched sign would be to designate everybody in the squadron as an Eagle. (i.e. Eagle 1, Eagle 2, Eagle 3 and so on...) So, playing off of this cliche, when Snoopy flew he wouldn't be an Eagle, but a Beagle. And since it is impossible for anyone to be cooler than Snoopy, he was naturally Beagle 1.
Now, I've had the same name for everything since my first computer when I was 7, and back then I didn't know how to spell Beagle, so I spelled it Begle. Go figure.
The most ironic part is that somebody already stole my Hotmail Email address. Like somebody else could go through that string of logic and come up with "Begle1".

Well, About 8 years ago when I was first started runnin a bullrack, I would show up at the stockyards out in Soix Falls, S.D. and I would always be whistleing, and It was a familiar toon that everybody knew, But they could never remember that my name was Shawn, it was always John, Don or Shane so The one Gateman started calling me DOODAH cause of the song I would whistle and It stuck with everybody. pretty soon all the other truckers and hog and cattle buyers would start calling me that! It just stuck I guess! Even had DOODAH'S BULL BUGGY wrote on the back of my trailer!lol
Hmmph.. Well I guess I haven't told the story yet here.
When I first got online in '98 at the CDW (Cummins Diesel Website = TDR now) I used the CB handle that I had from my Dad. My dad was a truck driver as well as started selling Mack trucks.. I had an 89 CTD at the time and put MACK mudflaps on it.
After researching the trucks out there and seeing the mods being done, and with being the son of a MACK salesman I derived "Lil' Dog". Its also a play on words because it was a 2WD and not like the big iron out, so it was a Little Dodge.
I have kept that name on every site I have been able to access for the most part.
Boring eh??
J-eh
