Might as well add the largest diesel locomotive as well. Heres the UP6936 ........ the last of the 47 UP once owned.

Very nice. ;D At the train museum at Fair Park here in Dallas they've got a UP Big Boy parked. It's amazing how small a person feels standing next to that thing. Awe inspiring...

Cool. Gotta love UP for experimenting with big power. I wish UP would bring a gas turbine to life again.

That's sweet. At the Henry Ford Museum, they have a C&O Challenger. Out of Owosso, there is a Pere Marquette, Berkshire, that runs excursions through the year. Looking into one of their upcoming runs.

Re:UP3985 (Steam Engine)

Those are some great pics.
We were lucky enough to have UP send through our area the UP 844 FEF being pushed by UP3985 Challenger on an excursion run about two years ago.
What a magnificent sight that was.

Im in an area that has several rail museums in close proximity, a railfans delight!
Although I havent been able to contribute much lately, Ive been a volunteer at the Nevada State RailRoad Museum. It was fun being able to participate in maintenance of some of their steam.

Nice trains. I wish I could get a closer look at the engines on them things. I saw a piston one time guy was sitting on it like a bar stool and did not even know what it was.
