You reminded me of one of my favorite sounds though:
Walking across campus EARLY in the morning and hearing the sounds of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band on the practice field. ;D
[/quote]
Whoop! I lived in the dorm right next to the practice field--Got to wake up to the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band every morning.

Remember, this is unlikely tastes and smells, like if the smell of taking your boots off at the end of the day for instance does it for ya!

Beer mash. We feed Beer mash to our cows over the winter and when that stuff gets a little old you would rather have you head 2 inches from a Skunks butt than smell that stuff

The smell of a fresh can of copenhagen.
The smell of my CTD early in the morning.

The other day my girlfriend and I were driving past a dairy farm. As we approached the barn, she rolled the window down so she could get a better whiff of it ;D I had to admit, I like that smell too.

SMELLS
The first spring rain
Elk estrus (cover up scent)
The hot steamy smell of the cavity of an elk when gutting it
Puppy breath (every time)
Hay (fresh cut, day old, been in barn for a year. Dont matter)
Used gear oil (90wt)
Under an OLD house
Wet Dog (only when duck/goose hunting)
Spent shells/casings
Powder/primers (reloading room)
Well used canvas tent
The smell of the bay during super low tide
TASTES
Fresh fried rocky mountain oysters (Fresh off the calf too! ;D Build a fire right next to the castration rack to put the cast iron skillet you just scraped the cow crap out on)
Fresh picked Chantrelle mushrooms
Liver/Jalepeno/onion stir fry
Raw oysters
Fried raccoon
Cougar (baked or fried)
SOUNDS
Non-turbo'd Detroit yarder
the "whump-thump.....whump-thump" of a guardrail punch
Swampers@30mph or greater
Drivetrain breakage (Axles, spiders, u-joints)
Rotary motors
Uncapped smallblock chevy (has to be built to the hilt)
I have lots more but these I have been told are un-ordinary
Take care
Mark
