Never tried it. I'm sure impressed with Meguiar's NXT 2.0 Tech Wax though.

I'm using the liquid Ice with no issues. Are you using the microfiber towel to polish it off?

I use Zaino. I've never used anything that gives you better results. Well worth the research and the investment if your serious about keeping your truck looking better than the others. Check out autopia.org. It is a world wide professional detailers web site(free). The information on there is the best.

No offense but if you're waxing the 93 as listed in your sig it might be time for a paint job as the dealer paint applied during those years wasn't that great of a product.

Anytime when applying wax more is not better. All you need is a very light haze to appear on the finish when it dries...anymore and it's a waste of product and you're killing yourself trying to remove it all.

Liquid Glass has worked really well on several vehicles for me....but even my 99 now needs paint.

I've used the paste version of ICE on my truck with great results. Went on easy, shined up good and you can put it all over the plastic without problem. Actually it when you put it on the plastic it restores it and makes it look new.

Its very forgiving and easy to apply but I will say it doesn't last quite as long as others. I would say it lasts about 75% as long. Not a big deal though.

NXT is the same way, no residue on plastics.

I wash, clay bar, paint cleaner/swirl remover, carnuba, NXT. Then I wash weekly and NXT once a month...Every 6 months I start over.

Wow, now that's dedication. It's almost a full time job to do it properly, isn't it. Do you use a high speed buffer to apply the swirl remover?

Klasse works real good on older vehicles. It will pull the oxidation off of the paint. It is real easy on/off. Ed B

Have any of you guys tried the Liquid Clay Bar from Turtle? I think it is called Ice also. It is great, and really easy. Of course you then have to polish or wax it as it removes everything. Probably 90% as good as clay bar, but good enough for a guy like me that does clean truck as often as it deserves.

Whenever I try a new detailing product I will test it on the hood of the 92' as it's the only thing that's still clear coated on the truck and it won't bother me that much if I screw something up. I tried the TW Ice on the hood and I wasn't to impressed by it. It's hard to tell when it's dry, that's if it even dries at all, and it only lasted for about 1 rain spell. Though the short durability may have been because it's hard to tell when it dries, I may have removed it too early. I do like the Ice spray detailer though. I use it on the 06 to clean the mirror housing's and lower front bumper trim before I wash it and it leave's the plastic with a deep black continuous shine.

Last September on the 92' I washed, clay, and waxed the hood with NXT 2.0 and it was still beading great yesterday in the rain. The NXT beads like no other wax I have used and I believe that's to due to what Meguiar's calls "Hydrophobic Polymer Technology". That could be just a marketing gimmick but I do notice a difference in the beading power. The other thing I love about NXT 2.0 is the fact of how easy it is to wipe off. I have never dealt with a wax that comes off so easy yet leaves no type of ghosting or swirls that require more elbow grease to remove.

I think you're not waiting for it to dry or putting too much on at once.

I last waxed mine back in October or so (I know... but I'm busy, its been cold and wet and its tough on me these days with my leg injury). But mine still beads. Not like when first put on, but it still beads.

I did use the paste version though. I've never really liked fluid waxes.
