thanks for all the input! and no offense taken, i would love new paint but im trying to make the best of it now ! i will look into some of those other products. that nxt sounds appealing!
i do think im not leaving the wax on long enough, im used to the paste kind drying a little and when you buff it out by hand it starts to feel smoother, but i think i will keep experimenting with the different types.

thanks david

No...All hand done, takes me about 6hrs. Too scared to use a buffer. It's the wife's fault (I want Black...I want Black) I wanted another Red.

Never used the Ice wax on my truck. I use the Ice Quick Detailer sometimes in between wax jobs. Keeps the truck looking shiney and it helps get rid of some of the water spots.

I've always been a fan of Meguires No.26 Yellow wax and No.7 polish. Lately I have been using Mothers California Gold Pure Carnuba Wax. I like the Mothers best as a paste, I don't care for the liquid version. It really brings out the shine in the paint, I'm pleased with the results after using it. I'm actually going to claybar, polish, and wax my truck here in the next few days. Suppose to be 65* and I'm itchin to get it looking good again after this nasty winter.

Oh, I always use micro-fiber wax pads, wash mits, towels, and polishing cloths.
