You need more coffee with jokes like that!

Vodka in college huh? lol I didn't start drinking vodka until we were stationed in Japan. We'd do a regular Friday night party each summer at a designated house. One of the beverages on hand was a raspberry powder drink of some sort and vodka. We lovingly named it "koolaid". It was a huge pitcher and by the end of each party would be gone. I ended up with a few wicked hangovers as a result. The great part was the next morning when I would jog back to their house to get my truck (It was only a couple miles). We had a good laugh when we discovered at the end of the summer it was only Annette and me drinking the koolaid...Lushes!

DW is going to give vet a quick call this morning to make sure that we can start re-introducing food. The poor little gaffer was stalking us last night any time we did anything that that suggested food might become available. He was pretty old and skinny to start out with and he has lost at least a pound since this all started so I sure hope we can start feeding him again.
On a weather note, things are about to get exciting again. My weather alert alarm went off at 4:20 this morning to let me know that we have a winter storm and heavy snowfall warning in effect. It won't be as bad as the US NE but it still going to be a poor couple of days. We are supposed to have high winds, cold temps (lows of -10C) and get about 25cm of snow over the next 36 hours. I shouldn't rant too much as I do live north of the 49th parallel, but it is still the first week of November for heavens sake!!
Have a good day and play safe everyone.

PS - for those of you who subscribe to the thread, just laugh at the fact that most of my posts seem to have 2 or 3 edits. I guess I need to start proof-reading BEFORE I hit submit.
I can have great empathy for your pooch. Just went through the same thing myself. (CDI) Not fun, hurts, and messy.

Antibiotics knocked it ......temporarily. Kefir (the foriegn cultured milk stuff) cured it.

Maybe check with the vet about doggy pro-biotics.

Morning gang - - cool but beautiful here. Lots of chatter yesterday. Heidi, the log is - - is - - - no longer a log. Like stated, about the only thing artistic I can do is WITH a ruler, like design buildings. My kids, now that is a whole new story. So, hats off to you, girl - - yes, pics when done.

Shorts, buck up kiddo. Maybe the miracle will happen and BO's "real" birth certificate will show up and we can kick him out - - he sure ain't no American, regardless of where born.

Grabbing my ph00 (thanks Scott) and out of here. I have so much to do - - yeh, sure - - go charge my wheel chair. .........

Bob

J_Martin, good call on the pro-biotics. As suggested here and approved by vet, he is starting to get small amount of steamed white rice and unseasoned, cooked ground beef. He has had a bit of a weak stomach for a few years so the vet has had him on yogurt and probiotics for breakfast for at least 18 months. It really helps him out. We found out a few weeks ago that he does not like cherry yogurt (picky dog).

So after crawling out of this depression hole that I'm struck in, I've decided to fire myself, collect unemployment, place my son on payroll and pay him my salary in which will be direct deposited back into my account. That way I can collect some of this free Govt. money that everyone keeps talking about. I've put enough into it I should be able to get something back!!!

I went to Cabelas today, it made me feel better. You know how shopping is therapy for women. I bought more ammo and looked at my next gun purchase. Boosted my spirits. I suggest you get some country therapy too. You've got your little slice of heaven. Take the kids out for a camp out this weekend and get back to feeling good.

Oh Cincy, I was watching the motorcycle cops make practice runs on the skills course and there was one guy that really reminded me of you. unfortunately this guy was having a tough time finding his groove. But I KNOW if it was really you the riding would have been SO much better

My plan is to place my rear in the treestand and take vengeance on the first buck that walks by...

I like to consider myself a good rider with around 75,000 miles of perfect riding under my rear, 30+ trips down The Dragon' and probably 3 wornout sets of floorboards but those guys that do the rodeos are ridiculous

One my favs

Sounds like a nice weekend.

I have a lot of respect for those guys. Just having the nerve to try that stuff is impressive. I do like though how their bikes don't fall over when the dump them. They got so much stuff on them they practically stay standing up!

They were nice guys. I talked to a few of them when the broke for lunch. I know the rodeo is a fundraiser but I'm sure there are bragging rights on the line too.

That is a standard safety feature on the bigger bikes.. My Royal Star has the same crash feature. Its almost impossible to completely lay mine over. I can literally lay mine over without putting the kickstand down and get off.

When i had my bike - I was riding on north Saginaw in Flint and there were 3 bikes in front of me by one blk.
every time this one bike would get to a stop light he would forget to put his feet down and tip over ( think he was eater high or drunk ) His buddies would get off their bikes and pick him up ...It happened 3 lights in a row ! I made a left turn and left them to their misery !

My dad recently traded in his Ultra Limited to a Trike due to shoulder surgery. For the first several weeks of riding, every time he would stop he'd put his feet down. Used to crack me up

welcome welcome DTR watchers, post!!

my log growled at me today. I ignored it doing yard chores, oil change on jeep.... one big sliver.

when I was impressive, I did the Ontario (Canada) Provincial Police motorcycle standard road test. Blue Knights invitational. balance beams, cement culvert pipes and 40mph skid pan. my FXR is perfectly balanced. my knees shook for the rest of the night... then I saw California Highway Patrol
NYPD,NO Louisiana. New jersey is the absolute craziest!

glad I changed jobs.

"Boy" if you are "doing the Dragon",I'll be sure to give you a little "eu du two-stroke".Nothing quite like the smell of Blendzall/Castor oil before breakfast.
