Trucks and Extreme 4x4

Hey guys, what do you think of these shows?

Trucks was awesome this week with stacey puttin a beatin on a duramax and gettin it stuck... that guys just plain nuts.. he he he he... Favorite project was Crazy horse, and i watch the show faithfully every week.. Just needs more diesels on the show, and well he makes them projects look way to easy..

Extreme 4x4, that lil chic is a hottie! The only reason i watch the show.. plus they are gonna work on a cummins soon if you check their website.. just dun member when...

More the incentive! whaddaya guys think of these shows? or powerblock in general?

I have been watching trucks fro a few years now. Actually, thats what first got me seriously considering a diesel.
The Xtreme 4x4 chic is a hottie, but Danica is better looking.

I like Trucks! and have been watching it for ~3 years now. Maybe a little longer. Even my wife watches it now and then. She loved the show with the Load Hog and wants one for my truck. Once we stop moving every few years, anyway, and she can have a real garden and stuff.

So far I like Xtreme 4x4. Guess last week that chick had to be rushed off for an emergency appendectomy during taping. I know how that feels!

Danica runs hot and cold...

Both shows are great. It's the only info you can ever hope to see on a truck specifically a diesel without looking online. Staccie should step up from just putting on those chips and get a twins setup on a 12v from Piers, or Schied and really show all these ford and chevy boys what's possible.
It's been my experience that most of the ford and chevy guys don't know too much. When I tell them I don't have a chip in my 12v because it doesn't use a computer controlled pump they just shrug and look at me like an idiot.
I'd love to see stacie put a cummins in that big powerwagon thing, I mean it's got the 2.5 ton axles, hydraullic steering, 49"s, if he puts a small block in it he will really be letting me down.

the Powerblock run hot and cold for me...

I don't care for Car and Driver.

Horsepower TV tends to be more car oriented but worth a peek. I think the vehicle they use to pull around cars is a 4x2 Dodge Ram 3500 with some mods.

Xtreme 4x4 is hit and miss. They've done a build-up of a Ram 2500 w/Hemi and a Superduty but I don't care for Jeeps or Rockcrawling.

Trucks is probably the best show they have. They've done some great builds on the show and Stacy really covers the Big 3 well. He's done build-ups with Dodge, Ford and Chevy. The only real issue I have with the show is that they never talk cost and don't do dyno testing. Banks gets some serious play on the show because money talks. Stacy should do a show dedicated to Diesel Thunder @ IRP (Thunder in Muncie)...

All the shows are so stupidly scripted it makes me blush, though. I feel like a moron watching any of them. The dialogue is just horrible.

Then again, the little hotties they have on makes anything worth watching, but I don't need a TV for that...

I like trucks a lot and I just recently started watching extreme 4x4. I need to find a girl like her. I wish they would show the episode when they finished project copperhead. I really want to hear and see that thing run.

I watch both if Tivo wants me to. If you would have watched last week where Stacy talked with Gale Banks in the same room as I was, you could have heard some yelling and general disatisfaction with some claims I heard from a certain manufacturers mouth. I had to laugh when he said "you can have any manufacturers 200hp tuner out there, but I will beat you with air density." As if the other manufacturers don't recommend turbo upgrades?? I felt a little better seeing how Stacy thrashed his truck and scratched it.

Stacy's builds are excellent to watch and if I had kids I'd make sure they watched it with me.

I'm with you, Blue, where do we find a hot chick that can weld??

That's where she came from. She was also on a episode of Overhaulin. Having said that, i'm not sure if I like her show or not. Don't really care about anything they're doing. Not going to put a 20 inch lift on my truck, or turn a ranger into a rockcrawler. Trucks is the same way though. Over the past few years, i've only seen him mess with ford and chevy diesels. Yeah i think there was a cummins on there back in 2001 or 02. And the million dollar buildups that while only slightly interesting to watch, I could never ever afford.

I saw part of extreme 4x4 last week, first time I've watched that one. I'll agree that Crazy Horse has got to be the best build up yet. But they need to do some thins with a budget, or if they don't have one they should do a twin setup. All the diesel buildups just show him plugging and unplugging computer connections. When are they gonna mess with injectors or add a real turbo???

I also like the way Gale Banks was claiming air density Apparently you don't need fuel to burn anymore, as long as you have enough air. If you ask me, that guy's full of hot air... A buddy of mine at school was talking about his cousin's powerjoke. I told him that with the right tuning my truck would make ~300HP (see Don M's dyno papers) and with about $800 more, it'd be a lot more. He said I was full of crap, because his cousin's Banks Six Gun kit was only good for adding like 120HP or something like that. I laughed and said his cousin just threw away a lot of money for nothing He got defensive when I asked him how much he paid for the little Banks Power stickers
