From my experience woking in the steel industry for 10 years the off brand or copt cats of victor tend to leak gas after heavy use. but if it's used for hobby type work it should work okay.

Jusy my hands on experience.

Harbor Freight has a similar set including the tanks for about the same price in there latest sale paper. I don't know about the quality on either one though.

If you read the listing carefully, they don't say what the brand is, only that it's Victor compatible. I have an old Victor aircraft torch set. It's great. Just had my regulators rebuilt. Cost $150 for the rebuild. I mentioned that you can buy a whole set for that. The welding shop guy said a pair of two stage regulators like mine sell for over $350 now. Mine is OLD. The regulators are dated 1949! It was my Dad's.

If you just need for hobby work it would proably be ok, but as a shop teacher I wouldn't waste my money on those because they won't stand up to long term heavy use. This is my opinion, hope it helps.

We have a set exactly like that one. Havent had any major problems with it out in the oil field. But, like what WHITE3500DUALLY said, I have started to notice one small air leak from the hose to the torch. Probably fixable with some teflon tape...

I had that set started to pop back through the torch and put the flame out. So I sent it in to a reputable shop to get fixed. Came back doing the same thing I gave it away to a guy I know.

THAT POP you are talking about sometimes means you need a new tip or the tip needs to be cleaned.

Just my.02 cents
