Talking To those who served in the military!

I just got done watching "Extreme Home Make Over" and they did a segment on a Marine who lost his leg in combat during his second tour in Iraq.
I must say the episode was amazing, and what they did for that guy was simply amazing.

There are not enough words to be said to express the Honor, Respect, and Dignity these Men and Women deserve who have served or are serving in the military.

Every time I see a Soldier, or a Veteran I make sure to always say Thank-You for their service to our country. These extraordinary people have put their lives on the lines for many years for our freedom and I am so thankful for that.

I know that this forum has a lot of solid members and I am sure that most of you show your respects.

I am just making this post to say a huge THANK YOU to those who have served, or are currently serving.
A simple "Thank-You" can go a long way, and I hope mine does.

It does not matter if we support the war, or war(s) to come we DO SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!

I am looking forward to serve my country in time to come and I will do it with all that I have.

All the service Men and Women are in my prayers everynight and I wish you all the best of everything in life, you DESERVE IT!

I too was pretty touched by that show. I am also a vet and these guys this time around are getting some of the respect they deserve. Society has come to realize that it is not the soldier who is responsible, but our Government. I'm sure if they had a choice it would not be to go overseas. I too would like to extend my deepest gratitude.

I watched the episode as well and could relate to many of the feelings and emotions he shared. I lost many brothers as well. I served in Iraq as well but was fortunate to come home safe with all limbs attached. They did an incredible job for that marine and family. He deserves everything they donated and I think more. Thank you to the rest of the vets that serve and thanks y'all for supporting us! God Bless!

I just got out of the AF after 13 years. I've seen some amazing things and met some amazing people.

All I can say is that I often felt I didn't deserve to be part of such a great group of people, and the honor of serving that time will always be special to me.

Times sure have changed. I prayed there would never be another Nam but here we are again. At least nobody is spitting on these kids coming home today.

We watched it as well. Very touching. Was probably one of the best episodes of that show that I've seen.

Watched it here as well and wanted to post something last night, but I didn't know how to put what I felt into words.

Thanks to everyone who has, is or will be serving.

Wow, I just started watching it, recorded it last night. I'm 5 minutes in and all teary eyed. Thank you so much for all that have served. Pretty much everytime I am out doing something with family, friends, whatever, I look up and thank God for our military, as we wouldn't be doing what we are doing without them. Thanks again.

My wife and I watched it as well, I am possibly redeploying soon before I get out of the Marines. I am kind of unhappy with the way things are going for me right now but thats another story. Watching that show made my tear up to think that if I go back this will be my 3rd time to possibly end up like him or worse. I already had one VERY close call last time. Would hate for something to happen now that I have a 4 month old baby boy.

Thank you to everyone for supporting us!!!

Thank you for what you do.

Have been in Iraq 4 times as an Army Civillian. Just left TQ in November. Understand just how hard it can be there.

Oh the memories. Ex U.S. Navy here.

Wouldn't trade them for anything.

Thanks.
