Things to look at in Google Earth
I didn't want to hijack the inducing thread, so I thought I'd start a new one.
Wanted to point Hoss to a location in Arizona 32°09'22"N, 110°50'42"W. The Airplane grave yard.. Awesome sight from above.
Let me know what other interesting location are out there....

First thing I did was head on over to New York and take a look at ground zero.
Very easy to find, only piece of the island without phreakishly tall buildings on it.
Turn on 3D buildings, and New York is way cool (tallest building I've ever seen is 30 floors).
Washington DC is also cool with the 3D buildings.
There is a "google earth community" tab, if you activate it, brings up a lot of interesting things to see,
and a lot of duplicate entries with slightly messed up coordinates.
There's a jetliner in middle Idaho that looks like it's crashing, can't remember the coordinates,
but it has a google community "!" marking it.

So, are those retired planes or are they there for some other purpose?

You are looking at AMARC when viewing the aircraft graveyard. Parts are still pulled from those A/C from joint services when needed. The location was selected for storage due to the low humidity levels.
