Thank you Veterans!
Re:Thank you Veterans!
I have read some great stories of americans and others getting behind our armed forces these days. I must admit that I feel guilty because of this and at the same time proud. The guilt comes from all that my dad and his fellow Vietnam vets had to suffer through. The pride in that we as a society learned from it and we did it soon enough for some of the vets to finally get the recognition they deserved. I have never felt uneasy or had any reason to not wear my uniform with my chest poked out and my head held high and for that I am very blessed. My dad and all of the soldiers before me made it the way it is now and they are my heros and the reason I continue to serve. Thank you and God bless each and everyone who has served or supported those who have and do!

I enjoyed my time of service, learned alot about life and people. Most valuable thing that the service taught me was fellowship and leadership. God Bless those that stay awake to protect while we sleep.

In the spirit of our veterans, more specifically those who've fallen, I thought I'd show you guys this link. I saw it today when looking through the news and thought it was pretty cool.

Did a lot of funeral details when I was stationed at Fort Rucker. We usually had a bugeler from the band with us. Sometimes though, we did have to play a recording. It was a little embarrassing, but the family did appreciate having the pall-bearers and rifle squad. We had a couple bugel players that would drag it out in just the right spot. It would tear your heart out. A recording just doesn't have it.
