Texas State Board of Private Security Companies
I have been installing and servicing burglar alarms in homes for a national company(ADT Security) for 7 years total. Today I made the call to the board to open a license for my own company. 80 pages of study material, $375 and a referral from a security professional stating I know what I am doing will allow me to install and sell alarms in homes.
I find one thing extremely funny, they have my old license on record, they know I have been doing this for seven years.
I won't even go into what my call to the National Fire Protection Association and State Fire Marshall was like. Been doing that type of work for 7 years also.

P.S. I had to take one test online today, just to be able to take the 80 page test. It was 8 pages long, I did not study and made 100%. :P

Re:Texas State Board of Private Security Companies
Thats why we dont do ANYTHING with security beside wire for camera and normal phone line to the alarm box. But beside that we dont even mess with it unless they cross over one of our wires or if the electrition cross over one of our wire then I honor to cut there wires and watch them run new wires. Homeruns are my favorite. ;D

SD03
