Texas Longhorns -V- Nebraska Cornhuskers
Both programs have over 800 wins, and are playing on national TV this Sat. This is gonna be a dogfight. Nebraska is ready to take on the Defending National camps. Lots of repsect for both programs
Is NU ready to take back it's place at the top?
Is UT ready to defend it's National Title?
Let the smack talking begin.

Texas won't defend their national championship this year, too many things have to happen in front of them. But at the same time, UT will win the Big XII South and more then likely end up beating Nebraska twice
HOOK 'EM
Quiet...that's a good way of putting it. Hopefully it stays that way...that way we can sneak up on 'em.
Like it or not, Texas is beatable. I think Baylor proved that on Saturday with the 31 points they put on the board. Were it not for their 4 turnovers Baylor would have had a pretty decent chance of winning that game. If Baylor can put 31 points on the board even after turning the ball over four times then a team with a better offense and a better defense and few (or no) turnovers can beat them.
Texas is a good team, but they're not NEAR the team they were last year.
My prediction:
Huskers - 38
Horns - 27

Granted, I was worried during the Baylor game...allowing them to go over the top on the first play of the game was very unsettling, but the "D" turned things around.
But just from watching the Aggies the couple of times that they have been on tv up here, I'm not impressed. Kansas should have beat them...
And on the topic of this original thread....Go Texas...beat Nebraska

I would agree that UT isn't near the team that they were last year, but I think they will still win the south.
As far as UT beating the Huskers twice, I hope not, but if they do that means that we won the North and that is better than some of the recent years.
Glad to see Husker fans from CO. IMHO CU has some of the worst fans in college football. The greatest thing to happen to their university was to have their entire student section kicked out of the game on national television.
Go Huskers.

Oh yea Baby!

Win loose or draw, UT fans (all fans) are welcome here to come and party, have fun and mingle with Husker fans. Wear your colors proudly, and carry your UT flags with pride. Anyone give you a hard time you give me a call and I'll be right down to straightern their young, unedumicated, non-classey butts right out.
NU fans respect the other teams & their fans. No exceptions.
(Well maybe except for Colorado.
)
I'm pull'n for the huskers, I think they'll have a good game if the secondary can play stronger than I've seen lately. I hope Coachs let go all out on offense not like when they play USC. I'm with HOSS 38-27 Husker win.

Man,
Talk about no UT love
And you guy are right, I work at the University of Colorado and their so-called
fans are the biggest cry-baby, non-supporting, fair-weathered fans around. I've been to games in Norman and Austin and it is night and day difference when it comes to supporting your teams...
