TDR Subscription

I am very new to the Diesel truck owners' circle. Is this publication worth the cost of the subscription?

If you don't know what I'm talking about see -> http://www.turbodieselregister.com/

Rebby,

I'm also a member on the "Other Site" as we call it over here.

Yea, the mag is deffenently worth the price. 8) Lots of good info in it and some awesome how to's.

The website isn't too bad either, you just have to wade through the BS and the bickering of a few of the members to find the good info. Some of the guys kinda treat you like a idoit but most of them are genrally good guys. Some of my good freinds are also members over on the "Other Site" as well.

Darrell

Re:TDR Subscription

Just renewed mine two months ago. The magazine is great. There are a few who think it is beneath them to answer questions about simple stuff, but there are many, many more who are very helpful.

Yea, this site is fun and games I guess, but lacking a little bit in the knowledge department, $35 is chicken feed if you want to learn everything you can about your truck. Without question, it's worth it, the Turbo Diesel Register guys know they're stuff. Only a few crab apples there, we don't let them spoil the entire site though.

Later, Rob

I like that one Rob. I guess all the guys who come from the TDR suddenly lose their knowledge when over here. Good one.

I have found that both sites serve the CTD owners well, and a wealth of knowledge is to be had at both sites. I guess each have their advantages. I find that ours are that it IS free, and that you can search through the forums and FAQ for free as well. TDR obviously has more members so that's an advantage for them, as well as the magazine. I honestly have not seen any lack of knowledge here for sure, so I find your comment humorous more than anything. Thanks for the chuckle.

Yeah that's it, denial. :

Like I said, I guess all those people coming over from the TDR lose their knowledge on the way... and all the new members showing up don't know anything either.

I personally feel that if you like it better over there, feel free to stay there. Why come over and insult us over here? What's the purpose? I don't mind constructive criticism, but when you throw an insult like that in the face of our users, it offends me a bit.

I have yet to go away from here with a question unanswered.

Re:TDR Subscription

I guess some people just picked up bad habits over there.

I seems like most of the problem kids over here are also card carrying members over there.

99.9% of the people here are fine folk.

Even Hoss :.
(especially since he hasn't been on much)

my .02

I'm still mulling over whether to pay my 35.00 or not.
Still have a couple of months to decide.
There's been a couple of times I wished I could post there.
