A T-rad public service announcement
I was looking for some grant and student loan info and ran across this site. http://www.missingmoney.com/Main/StateSites.cfm All it does is give you all the links in one place. What it does is make it easy to search for money you might be owed and haven't collected because you moved or you just didn't know you were owed the money. Most states have laws that protect you when folks owe you money and they can't find you. The payee has to forward the money to the state and they hold it for you. This could be insurance payouts, dividends, security deposits, utility refunds, who knows. All you have to do is follow the links and enter your last name and sometimes a first initial. Hope you all find you're owed a fortune.

Dang...It shows that I owe money!!!
Trying to figure out how they make their money for this service. Meanwhile, it appears that your site is one of only two legit sites (hopefully).

Nothing for me but DW is getting back $36.
Hey, it ain't much but it's more than I had before I read this thread
Lots of paperwork though. Name change, proof of residency, SSN, drivers license and all by snail mail.

$36 is just about enough to cover last years membership fees here. Glad somebody's getting a little back. My wife is still getting her paperwork together, just a little under $300 for her. Her sister is getting $600+ between where she lives now and her last residence.
