Hey, I landed at that airport in 2005. That was neat coming in. Neat to see it again from that angle. Stayed there for 2 weeks fishing.

What's with these stupid ads in between every other one of our posts? That is stupid and annoying. I am getting more and more aggravated by websites. Yahoo is ridiculous.

Bummer - - rain tomorrow. Oh well, its been dry so the plants can enjoy it I am sure.

Weird only way I can see the ads is if I don't log in but you cant make posts without logging in so its apparent that they are only showing the ads to really old people.
Yahoo has been driving me nuts. It keeps making me change my password about every three days "for security reasons"
and constantly wants my cell phone number to make my life easier if I forget my password.

Evening Heidi, evening Rick.
About the only thing I can do with a welder is to stick rods to whatever is unfortunate enough to be in front of me.

What? NO! The only thing wrong with the cider is that it's almost gone!

Get a good ad blocking program and they'll all go away. This site is almost like the 'old days' with a good ad blocker, it even loads quick! Too bad you have to do that, but it's the only way to view DTR now.

Why are you watching videos of guys dancing? I didn't realize you were into that kinda thing.

Morning all.

It is Friday, November 15th.

1777 - The Continental Congress approved the Articles of Confederation, precursor to the U.S. Constitution.

1806 - Explorer Zebulon Pike spotted the mountaintop that became known as Pikes Peak.

1901 - Miller Reese patented an electrical hearing aid.

1926 - The National Broadcasting Co. (NBC) debuted with a radio network of 24 stations. The first network radio broadcast was a four-hour "spectacular."

1939 - U.S. President Franklin Roosevelt laid the cornerstone of the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, DC.

1940 - The first 75,000 men were called to Armed Forces duty under peacetime conscription.

1966 - The flight of Gemini 12 ended successfully as astronauts James A. Lovell and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin Jr. splashed down safely in the Atlantic Ocean.

1969 - In Washington, DC, a quarter of a million protesters staged a peaceful demonstration against the Vietnam War.

1986 - A government tribunal in Nicaragua convicted American Eugene Hasenfus of charges related to his role in delivering arms to Contra rebels. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison and was pardoned a month later.

1986 - Ivan F. Boesky, reputed to be the highest-paid person on Wall Street, faced penalties of $100 million for insider stock trading. It was the highest penalty ever imposed by the SEC.

1992 - Richard Petty drove in the final race of his 35-year career.

1993 - A judge in Mineola, NY, sentenced Joey Buttafuoco to six months in jail for the statutory rape of Amy Fisher. Fisher was serving a prison sentence for shooting and wounding Buttafuoco's wife, Mary Jo.

1999 - Representatives from China and the United States signed a major trade agreement that involved China's membership in the World Trade Organization (WTO).

2000 - Three police officers from the Rampart division of the Los Angeles police department were convicted on several counts of conspiracy to obstruct justice. One other officer was acquitted. The case was the first major case against the anti-gang unit.

Today's thought:
I was addicted to the Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around.

C0ffee & ph00 is ready. There's spaghetti on the counter. I think it's spaghetti... it doesn't move when I poke it, so it's not worms or nothin'.

TOB&F PLEASE!

I remember the Kings last race he crashed burst into flames and drive over an parked next to the fire truck. The crew made enough repairs so he could drive the finial lap. It wa also the first race for the rainbow warrior Jeff Gordon a sad day for the sport.

Howdy y'all !!
Just sticking my head in the door so y'all would know I ain't quite dead yet, tho THE BOSS is giving it her best shot, bless her black twisted little heart

We got everything done finally outside the house, yard seeded, mulched and fenced off, and I bieve I can now rest and give my sore back a rest......until the truck pulls into the drive and drops 2100 sq foot of new flooring off......
My cedar long wife looks at me and says " it won't be hard to do will it?? I'd really love to have new floors before the family comes for Thanksgiving"

So....... All door trim and baseboards on the first floor are gone, all furniture moved to the upstairs. And new hardwood is down on the kitchen, finning room , living room, both bathrooms( toilets pulled and reinstalled ) laundry room., entry way and just about to start on the bedroom,.
Been doing most of this with a stabbing pain into back and shoulder, finally went to the doc yesterday, and it seems I have " debris" in my left shoulder socket, have developed Ostio-arthritis in both shoulders and have sub-scapular bursitis... He sent me home with a note telling THE BOSS to let me rest!
She says she can't read.....
So it looks like rest is on hold till the floor is finished and new trim put up
Thank god for codeine lol!!

Hi Chris!..glad to see you stop by

Be careful over doing it with that bursitis...I did and for about 10 days I couldn't lift my arms above chest height. Apparently lifting weights is also not a cure for bursitis either

Hang in there and try to take it easy every now and then when the evil one is not looking

If you are old and cranky, you won't log in so you won't see the ads. DUH
Yahoo has really gone down hill since the "queen" took it over. I am about to switch my Carriage forum to another format - - enough all ready.

I have Norton, but something got by and drove me nuts. I become Dr. Sleuth this morning and tracked it to a website called Ads By Better Surf. Went into TOOLS and tracked it down and shot it with my .357. I was having something come up with no kill "X" on it anywhere every time I went to a different site and many times within the site with all kinds of ads and wanting me to download this "better than IE program" and all you could do is click on the screen behind it to go on. Suddenly, there it is again. I was getting all kinds of pop ups on here. When I came into the home page, I would see the page create a space and this ad for the download would come up looking just like it was part of advertising on our forum. Then, every other post would have another ad running across between the posts - - it actually moved the posts down to make space. Wow, how intrusive and devious can you get. It was fine this time after shooting it. Glad I found it. If others are seeing it, you might go into your Tools options and look for it. Disable it if you see it - Ads by Better Surfing - - devious and devilish and meanish and smellish and lets go shoot them.

OK, enough gabbing - - refill the mug and out of here and go do something. More company coming today. England comes next week. HORRORS. lol

Mornin.
Another one bites the dust, er snow. Another stubbornly dumb hits the ditch this AM. Can't figure out why people still drive like its summer. Fortunately he/she didn't hit any one (especially me) crossing all 3 lanes of traffic from an on ramp to spat in the medium.
