Good morning folks, happy Tuesday. We have 4 days of opportunity ahead of us before we get to the weekend. Make the most of them. (Guess who had his full dose of caffeine this morning).
Bark - welcome back, you have been missed, the lunatics have been running the asylum.
Play safe, keep your head up and your stick on the ice.
Good Day Ornery Ones!
Just got back from a Veterans Appreciation show at my Granddaughters school..she sang in the choir and I wore my VFW District Chaplain Hat....well had to wear the hat I am too fat to get in my old uniform
Got lots of looks from the little ones they had never seen a hat like that before, me thinks......or perhaps it was my shiny polished up Leggs....that Texas cake made out of sheet sure does leave a fine gloss on them

They will think they died and went to heaven. It is overcast today with this front that is moving thru, but no rain and just a few degrees cooler. It will be about 3 or so degrees warmer at Disney than here on the coast. That means about 84 or 85 on Thursday and Friday. Nice.

Thanks Bob and all. I kind of missed this zoo.
The Chinese make some good stuff (like egg rolls) but trailer tires aren't one of them.
Snort!
Took me awhile to realize you were talking about hockey, not ice fishing.
Good grief, I am still not done with the mail and its already getting late.

All-turd phoo goo fore olive ewe. I covered it with a sheet made from Lary's LEGG hair. Took him awhile to weave that together. Put a collage of shrewderves out for Bark. Notice how intricate the display is. Very shrewd planning went into that bowl of shrewp.
Perhaps I didn't get enough sleep last night.
I'm sure the Scottkwa will be in shortly with the daily thought and History. There's a new(censored) on the counter for u.
Enjoy the day. Give thanks for what you have. Time for a Texas sheet before I head out.

Hi mom
I didn't think about either one of those topics.
Don't gimme any of your sheet. I don't want it!
It's morning again. Seems like a recurring theme. About this time everyday it gets light outside and we get outta bed. Same thing day after day after day. Ho hum.
It is Wednesday, (another recurring theme), November 13th.
1775 - During the American Revolution, U.S. forces captured Montreal.
1789 - Benjamin Franklin wrote a letter to a friend in which he said, "In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes."
1805 - Johann George Lehner, a Viennese butcher, invented a recipe and called it the "frankfurter."
1927 - The Holland Tunnel opened to the public, providing access between New York City and New Jersey beneath the Hudson River.
1933 - In Austin, MN, the first sit-down labor strike in America took place.
1942 - U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed a measure lowering the minimum draft age from 21 to 18.
1956 - The U.S. Supreme Court struck down laws calling for racial segregation on public buses.
1971 - The U.S. spacecraft Mariner 9 became the first spacecraft to orbit another planet, Mars.
1982 - The Vietnam Veterans Memorial was dedicated in Washington, DC.
1986 - U.S. President Ronald Reagan publicly acknowledged that the U.S. had sent "defensive weapons and spare parts" to Iran. He denied that the shipments were sent to free hostages, but that they had been sent to improve relations.
1997 - Iraq expelled six U.N. arms inspectors that were U.S. citizens.
2001 - U.S. President George W. Bush signed an executive order that would allow for military tribunals to try any foreigners captured with connections to the terrorist attacks on the United States on September 11, 2001. It was the first time since World War II that a president had taken such action.
2009 - NASA announced that water had been discoved on the moon. The discovery came from the planned impact on the moon of the Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite (LCROSS).
Today's thought:
It's amazing what ordinary people can do if they set out without preconceived notions.
C0ffee tastes vaguely like ph00 this mornin'...
has a grape-ish stale kinda taste to it, but I don't wanna go raisin a fuss.
TOB&F today.
