Would have to agree with you on the weather. Been staying in the 70's down here and it's "supposed" to be winter. So much for the groundhog saying 6 more weeks of winter.

Temp's in the 20's here and I ran out of propane last night. Electric space heater and electric blanket kept me warm but water lines froze. 1600 miles to LA though.

I'm enjoying it here. High 50's for a high with a very slight breeze, and not a single cloud in the sky.

I almost got the truck stuck in the street when I tried to put it back in the driveway after I finished shoveling. That thing really sucks in the snow, there was only about 2" in the street. About 18" in the yard. My beater Cherokee (with mostly bald street tires) drove right out through the plow spoil.

It's supposed to be in the mid 40's by Wednesday, but with the heavy coating we got you may be right about it hanging around until the weekend. Tonight it's supposed to drop down to 16 with scattered snow showers. I think I'll drive the Cherokee to work in the morning.

It was +7c or 45f here today should be -7 or 20f or much lower. This is normally our worst week of winter. We have no snow should have up to two feet. Won't find me complaining as I work outside.

Would have rathered do outside work, but living in military apartments limits that. Spent most of the day working on final projects for school with the doors and windows open though. Unfortunately, daughter decided she was cold and proceed to close whatever she could reach, then since couldn't reach the windows she pulled all her blankets on top of her.

Weather could be worse. Talked to Hubby last nite and he said it's been raining for about 3 days in the sandbox where he's at. boy is he glad he's out of there in just a couple days.

I know the routine, beautiful beaches, wonderful snowboarding, georgeous girls, excellent weather, etc.etc.
I too used to live the GOOD life in Southern Ca. until about 1 year ago. Got fed up with the traffic, illegials, and high prices. Sold my home I bought for $82,000 for almost $500,000. Bought property in Illinois and built new house and shop. Snow today, high about 23 degrees, but my pellet stove is cranking out the heat and spring, Harley riding weather, is just around the corner.

Grew up in Ohio. I know what cold miserable weather is like. I depends on where you live in So. Cal. You just have to stay away from the big cities. If I lived in a big city anywhere in the USA I would move, period. I do kinda miss being able to walk out of the house and start hunting within 100 yards. Of course that was when I was a kid and didnt have to go to work everyday.
