You could also buy Mint Snuff made by a company in Oregon I believe. Its just like dipping except its all herbal. Comes in different flavors, and they have it loose and in pouches. Cheap as well. Some stores carry it, but they have a list on their website.

www.mintsnuff.com

Good luck to you!

I recently quit ( after 20 years) and used this a replacement called " Bacc Off " They have a web site. It actually worked. I bought it at the local C-store. If you dipped Copenhagen, their replacement Copenhagen tastes just like crap, but the Skoal replacement was not that bad at all.. It took me about 3 weeks and then I was good to go.

Like Pops would say....just mix half/half with cow manure....don't hurt the manure, but makes the chew taste like manure...

Good luck on quitting....I used to smoke 2-3 packs (tailored/factory made) a day before I quit driving truck an moved up here. I still smoke about a pack a day in winter. Its all natural tobacco and I roll my own. Summer time I slow down a bit because of restrictions at work.

I quit in 1994. I was chewing 2 CANS of Copenhagen a day!!! It was starting to bother my gums, so I knew I needed to quit. For me the easiest way was to quit drinking at the same time. As soon as that first bit of beer would hit my lips I ALWAYS needed a dip. Anyway, the easiest way for me was this way. You have to WANT to make it happen. Each passing day is easier than the one before. Now I can drink beer without any craving for Cope.

I quit a little over a week ago, my six year old asked me to so I did. Been using Mint Snuff, it tasted like crap the first few days but its a lot better now. Tried some Smokey Mountain wintergreen in pouches it has good flavor and lasts more than an hour. A bonus with the pouches is you don't get the little pieces of mint all in your teeth. I am around a lot of guys that dip and that makes it really hard to quit, but I think about my two little boys and what I was teaching them. I don't want them to do it so I don't anymore.

I've been dipping a can of cope a day for the last 15 years and I'm goin through the same thing you are. 1st time I quit, I took up smoking YUCK!. Then I tried that nicotine gum. Was chewing 3 pieces at a time. Didn't work. Now I got a tooth ready to fall out so I gotta do something. Gonna try cold turkey on Christmas.

Everybody that's trying to quit, good luck. Seven years ago I walked into a convenience store and the clerk said, "that will be $3.50" (for a can of Skoal). That was it, stopped that day and haven't looked back. Yes, I did gain some weight, and I'm working on that, but I do feel better about my teeth and gums. So, the motivation for me was saving money and finally having white teeth.
