The best way is to want to do it, put your mind to it and just quit.

I remind myself of the old base commander at Ft Dix that had half a jaw left from cancer.

Figure out how much you spend on tobaccer each year... Then think of the mods that could be done to your truck with that money!!

When my husband quite chewing almost 3 years ago, we went to Costco and stocked up on gum. He was going through a pack of gum a day. He did slip a couple times and went back to chewing, but after about 6 months he wasn't chewing gum so much. And didn't even want to chew anymore. This is a guy that chewed for about 6 years.

A friend of mine quit, after chewing over 10 years. He went out and bought tons of those red hot jaw breaker things. He said it worked like a charm, just quit one day, went on the jawbreakers and never chewed again.

It's really tough, curt, but you can do it. I've dipped for almost 20 years, at least a can a day for 15. Like mentioned above, you have to want to quit. A major thing with addiction to nicotine is habitual. Try to find a replacement for the habit part, such as gum/candy.
Or, you can try the Ramone plan. (just kidding about this, but it really works) Every time that you take a chew when you are trying to quit, this big guy named Ramone comes and fattens your lips.
Good luck!!

QUITTERS NEVER WIN! ! just kiddin, i am trying soo hard to quit smoking but just as i'm around the bend and almost there, something stressfull comes up and i use that to start again, i just need to hide in the woods for a week i guess, or get plastic surgery done where i have to be in a hospital for a week , but i'm not sure how good a boob job would look on me

I am on the nicotine gum. So far it is working good. The first few days are the toughest, but if you get past the "habit" part then the rest is easier.

I also had to cut back on drinking, because the two go hand-in-hand with me. Overall I feel a heck of a lot better, it is worth it.

use a staple gun on your lips.

convince the misses that each time you back down from a craving, you get a "reward"
