Re:subs
okay that sub has dual 4 ohm coils so you will want to wire the coils in paralell for a 2 ohm load

so look for an amp that puts out the power you want at 2 ohms ..........
are you just adding this sub to your stock system ....if so look for an amp with speaker level inputs
a dash mounted remote level control is nice too so you can turn the sub up and down as you like
this amp would match your sub nice
you may want to see if you can find an mtx 81000d , it's last years model same specs.......might be able to pick one up cheap

Re:subs
Don't get the Audiobahn I distribute them tons of failures. I would recomend Pioneer,JL,Kicker,MTX,stay away from Rockford Fosgate lower line subs as well they have had problems for years. I personaly have the JL stelth box that replaces the lower center seat. I didn't want to loose any space the only problem is you can't use it as a seat anymore. I personaly like the Rockford amps for subs but there are lots of other good choices out there. Just stay away from the jap amps they don't make the power an american amp will.
Re:subs
you mean the american companies like kicker , rockford, pheonix gold, mtx & JL who get there amps pc boards made in korea and then assemble the amps here in north america .........
while I agree all the above mentioned companies make kickass products ........you'd be hard pressed to find a 100% american made amp
my Soundstream rubi's and the old MTX 225ho's I had were handbuilt in the us ...............but no more I'm afraid
oh yeah I don't remeber anyone asking about wich sub to get .........he already has it picked out ..he just wants amp advice

Re:subs
I am a sponsor of AudioBahn for 5 yrs now and we have never had anything blow because of factory failer.
We just blow it cause we go to competitions and push them to the max.

How much money are you look'n to spend? If you tell me that I can point you in the best direction. Also do you want to go with all AudioBahn stuff or do you want to mix match.
Right now i have my friends truck wired up to 2 ohm from 2 AWT1251Q's (Flame series) which is 400rms and a A1500HCX amp which is 1500x1. When I get his subs back from AudioBahn from the warrenty dept. :
;D I will wire his down to 2 OHMS. We had them wired at 1 ohm but they finally gave out. But AudioBahn I have always trusted and they have always sounded the crispest ever. We have gotten atleast 3 place every year that we go to competition pushing little over 7K watts everytime. ;D

TONY TONY TONY...I guess in order to get more subWOOFERS in my new truck I better delete the George Foreman Grill.
I do have some work ahead of me to BOMB the interior and sound system of WLD RYD. ;D

Re:subs
What i meant by american was to eliminate the obvious choices like Pioneer,Alpine,Kenwood,Sony etc. These companies make good products however they don't seem to have the power for high performance woofers. I know for a fact thet the Rockford amps are assembled right here in the USA in Pheonix. The components may be made somewhere else (ie caps ic's resistors etc.) but the machine that builds the amps is in Pheonix, i have seen it. I got off topic on the subs, just giving my opinion and sharing my experience. I didn't want to ruffle any fethers.

Re:subs
I think any vehicle can be called WLD RYD if its on its side or upside down most of the ride.
I will use the subs as counter weights for my tiny carcass... ;D
I sure do detect a lot of envy with the posts people are making about my YUGO :

Re:subs
RF 200.2 under driver seat for the sub.
RF 400.4 under pass seat for the other 12 speakers.
Not verry original for mounting location but keeps the space under the back free for other stuff. ;D
As for why audiobahn sponsors so many rigs it is simply marketing. The more you get the product out there the more you will probably sell. Name recognition in this buisness is 1/2 the battle.
