St. Louis Riverfront
I need some help from some locals here. On the 21st I am taking a day trip with the G/F to the Zoo during the day and we went to go eat on the riverfront that evening.
Any suggestions on good restraunts, maybe a place with a view?

The Hooters is not in the train station anymore it is about a block north of Shanahans the place were the pitcher from the Cards was last seen alive. There are several places to eat some classy some not depends on what your spending limit and cuisine choice is. My best suggestion park and walk around take a horse and carraige ride around the landing then hit the clubs its always a good time maybe even catch a Cards game.

There are a lot of good places down at Laclede's Landing on the Riverfront. St. Louis Bread Company is one of them. I think it is a Pantera's (or something like that) now. Enjoy yourself and have fun.

Laclede's landing will probably be your best bet....its pretty neat there. We were actually just there on monday. We ate at the Old Spaghetti Factory. pretty **** cool building, but maybe not what you are looking for.
There is another place down there called Hannegans....we went there last time we were in town (have to go to St. Louis regularly for doc appointment...so we've gotten more and more familiar with it....) and it was quite good. We were only there for lunch, so it was pretty quiet. But i immagine that for dinner its gonna be a lot more fun! there is a raised piano right on top of the bar for entertainment...so it could be cool. Edit: Just looked over hannegans website....looks prolly a bit different than i described, so it might not be the best choice....
additionally there is the Big Bang bar...i don't think that they do food, but i get the impression that its a dueling piano bar...and those are ALWAYS fun! and you are also within walking distance of the Admiral casino...and if you were up to the task, you can walk to the arch from there as well. but that would be a fairly decent hike...
The nice thing about Laclede's landing is that there are a bunch of choices, and you can walk it all in about 15 min....the only thing thats not so great about it, is that for a first timer, its hard to get down there. So be sure to look at maps before going there to get familiar with it. Parking is $1/hr and max $5 during the week. not sure how it goes for weekends.

Well it went really well last Saturday. We went to the Zoo and Science Museum. We drove around downtown but decided to go on home since we had been walking around all day. Riffman you were right I missed Lacledes Landing the 1st time and had to go across the river and back. But we will def. go back there again and spend some more time downtown. Thanks for all the suggestions and help guys.
