I have the XD Tactical 45, I love that gun if you have someone take it apart for you compared to the Glock it is built much better. I like the grip compared to the Glock also, the only complaint is there is no safety switch on the gun.

I love my sub compact XD. I was actually going to get a glock until I held one. I didn't like the way the trigger guard rubbed my finger. Also got a smokin deal on my XD, couldn't pass it up. I've got pierce grip extensions on the factory mags(my pinky hung off) and I've got high cap mags also. 17 rounds in that little gun. Smooth to shoot, no problems. Pretty dang acurate too!

I am a fan of the XD personally. Have the 40S&W full size one and its great. I went with it over glock due to the one more safety. I just like having two over one and still dont have to thumb anything off.

I think they both are good guns, personal preference is what it boils down too. I would shoot both then make your decision, the only way to truly know. IMO

Thumbs up

Liked both, both shot well. I have a G36 for concealed carry since I just liked it better and I got if for almost nothing.

The only complaint I ever had with the XD's was I had a .40 Tactical and it wouldn't hit the broad side of a barn no matter who was pulling the trigger, but my neighbors was like a lazer beam...

I'll second the on the well made gun though.

Mike

i have nothing to contribute but i think it is funny that the American Springfield is made in Croatia where the Austrian Glock is made in Georgia. That said hasn't Springfield been purchased by FNH?

Just out of curiosity, what is it about the Springfield that makes you think it is "built much better" than a Glock?

Is there a 4th safety on a Springfield that I'm unaware of?
