What are the speaker sizes in my 2000 quad cab? I already have a pioneer head unit and subs and amp under the back seat, so better speakers in the doors would be the next logical step. I haven't had the door cover off yet, but I fiqured I could go ahead and start shopping if I knew the sizes. By the way, how hard is it to get the door covers off?

Thanks in advance.
Re:Speakers
Should be 6x9 speakers in the front doors. Taking the door panel off isn't too hard. There's a screw up on the sail panel at the front, two screws in the little cup behind the window switches. After you take those out, it's mostly just a matter of pulling the door panel off. Start at the bottom, and you might want something thin but strong to slip under there to get your fingers under it so you can pull it off. It's held on with those little "christmas tree" things, and when it comes off you'll probably have to pull those out of the door. A prybar works pretty well for that. If they get screwed up, buy them somewhere other than the dealer, where they're about $1 per.
Re:Speakers
6x9 in the front use a 5 1/2" in the rear.

Try not yo use a 6x9 though in the front you will get much better sound from a component set in the front. Get a 6.5" component set which is a driver and a tweeter with a crossover. Make a nice plywood piece to fill the 6x9 hole to mount the driver then mount the tweeter either in the door or get the pillars from DC and mount the tweeters in the pillars. I would get the pillars but most want us to mount the tweets in the doors which is OK as well but the best sound comes from the pillars. If you don't mind a little criticism I would move your amps to the rear wall of the truck behind the seat keeps em safer and more secure. Take a piece of MDF and make a piece that covers the entire wall then carpet it with speaker cover. Let it dry good then use a good high quality silicone to glue the board to the rear wall and put some pieces overnight to hold it tight against the wall. Then you can screw the amps to it and run all your wires cleanly and it looks really pro. All the amps are hidden and stealth. You may need to make a block to raise the rear seat about 1/2" to make space for the thicker amps.
Re:Speakers
Thanks for the advice guys. Is there a certain brand or brands you guys like in these size speakers? Also, I made 2 boxes for my two subs and they look alright under the back seat, but I'm right at the minimum volume, so I'm wondering if that would have an effect on the subs? The stereo shop where I bought the head unit had pre-fab units to go under the back seat, but it was almost $400 and I wasn't sure it was worth it, so I built my own. I was just wondering what you guys did. I see what you're saying about the amps Jamie, that's a great idea. I bet it does look good.

Thanks again.
Re:Speakers
I built my own box from a design I got off this web site. Fits under the back seat. Requires 4" spacers though to fit it. The box's come out to 1.3 cubic feet though. Very nice. I've got a set of Inifinty Reference 6.5" components in my front doors driven by a 200w 2 ch amp (not nearly enough amp). I had a set of Pioneer 6x9" 2 ways in the front doors. I thought those were nice. But man. These components blow them all away. Crisp, clear, sharp, loud sound. I've got the tweeters mounted in the door. I was told not to put them in the pillar because they would hit at the same time as the drivers and it wouldn't sound right. I was also told that the factory has the tweeters hitting a split second later than the drivers so that the sound hits you at the same time. You ever heard about that Jamie? I wanted them in the pillar (despite the PIA it would be to wire them in), but I know it would sound better.
