Some people
Some people
Remember when I posted asking a question about the powerstroke airbox sensor? Well I figured if I tried a ford forum that maybe someone could help me. Turns out I was wrong. I have much more respect for this site now, not that I didn't before but I just realized how great this site really is. So I want to thank everyone out there for helping a uneducated diesel lover! Thanks everyone ;D
Heres why I was wrong:

I can't even think of anything to say on that one that I would post on here anyway. You asked a normal information gathering non-offensive question and he comes back with that reply. Sounds like someones ego is oversized maybe making up for something else.

We kid around a lot on here but that went beyond kidding I feel. I would have either edited that one or moved it had it been on here.

Re:Some people
I agree. I didn't go in there saying anything bad about powerstroke or anything. I just had a question.......Kill a guy for trying to learn something. I'll stick to this forum ;D
Re:Some people
I read the hole thing from the top and Cumminsdude, I thought handled him self very well in the manner. Good job dude. I do think they were being a little snooty and it was unjust for the question at hand.
But if you did notice the last poster, he was from Alaska and left you a nice post to your question. Good Alaskan's ;D.

seems like this is common with alot of different types of forums. back when i was searching and planning out my system i joined a car-stereo forum to tryn get some help.......never got a reply. as it turned out it was a member here who really helped me out and answered all my questions.
a couple of jeep forums are the same way, nobody seems to want to answer your question if your a "noobie".

Re:Some people
Seems that once the theme for a board is set, (usually by a few very active members) it becomes contagious. If that theme happens to be "lets bash everyone that doesn't own our particular brand", I feel the site isn't worth my time. Too many other options to stick with one that only give you grief when you are looking for answers to legitimate questions.
BTW - I didn't see anything in the original question that warrented the kind of response given!
Just my .02

Haha - POR, right?
It's good for info-gathering, but if you and your Jeep don't conform to their standards you get flamed

Thanks guys. Being 19 and a "noobie" I figured I would act respobsibly about this because I knew I was in the right. It wasn't easy but I did it and thought I did it well. Meanwhile my brother was telling me what to tell them and lets just say it wasn't as pleasant!!!
Thanks again guys.
