The vet can supply some other drugs but not the antivenom which will assist in recovery. Our's took over 3 months to get back walking and the wound still has a nasty looking scar.
I have pictures of the whole process from start to finish if you're interested in seeing the real deal.
Sounds like a Mojave Green...their venom is a necrotoxin. I doubt that a vial of anything, unless, perhaps, we're talking about bourbon, does any good.

I was out and about with my boy Ralph the other day and he was jumping field mice in the tall grass. He ran one over to me and reached down to try to catch him and when he came up all I saw was the most beautiful example of a cotton mouth ever seen! My first reaction was to tell him to drop it but before I could say it he had slung the thing strait at me! It was actually quite comical thinking back on it, me trying to run from the flying snake and all. He gave that sucker all heck to the point that I started to feel sorry for the poor snake. I got him called off and we headed inside. That poor snake knew he met his match with Ralph. I never see a dog move so quick.

For those of you with AKC registered dogs have you looked into insurance? It is very cheap and mine paid all medical bills for a broken leg. It was about $1,000 for 6 weeks of treatment. It covers everything but routine shots and stuff like that.

Co-worker's Wiemar' apparently got hit in the top of the head sometime last wed night.. Dog was found dead in his usual sleeping spot in the barn.
Two fang marks fairly far apart..

Needless to say, they are ALL on the lookout for a big snake around their place.
